The Game is very well crafted and oozes charm

The Great!:

The soundtrack is a top notch pastiche of all things 80's with very fitting tracks for each level and even a smorgasboard sampling of tunes to go along with the 'mixtapes' that you find throughout the game.
The Colors and presentation of the game are 'old-school' but without the lazyness that many retro-styled games resort to.
The Humor and voice-acting are engaging without being repetitive.

The Good:
The combat feels responsive.
Good length and difficulty.

The SoSo:
The money / shop and upgrade system seems poorly thought out and tacked on
Once you have upgraded a mixtape there is little reason to use another

Overall a great game really captures the feel of the series without being too serious (or at all serious!)
