A really excellent squad tactics game - complicated enough to be challenging and offer multiple different tactics, but simple enough to pick up and enjoy quickly. The characters are well written, the plot engaging and intriguing with a good deal of comedic asides... and plenty of cats.

I also liked the sort of mini-game large battle part to the game which added a meaningful new layer to the previous Expeditions: Vikings.

Lots of dialogue, but you don't need to read it - makes a good story though. The spell creation system is excellent and the higher difficulty levels give plenty of classic RPG frustration!

Thoroughly recommend Stellaris. Really enjoyed playing this game through it's development and still discovering more and more features. Really impressed that the major DLCs add great new playable features.
