According to the community manager it's not a big deal and only takes 120 seconds to create and link a PSN account; however, if it's such a trivial thing why is it required in the first place?

I can't give a game where the community managers and developers lie to the player base a positive review. They stated cross region transfers would be allowed on launch and to play on any server/region that you can for now and that you will be able to transfer to where your friends are later. This has since changed and a lot of players, myself included, are locked away on regions away from our friends unless we completely start over after investing roughly 100 hours into the game.

The game itself is extremely fun; however, it is plagued with some big issues. The devs guaranteed that Chinese players would not be able to join NA/EU servers (they had the game a month prior to global release so there is a huge skill gap) yet every lobby is plagued with CN players dominating it at every rank. There is a huge teaming issue in all lobbies as well. Standing on a pebble can cause your attacks to miss due to elevation differences. People with high ping are nigh unkillable due to teleporting around and you are unable to properly counter them due to it.

Overall, I would avoid this game until those issues are fixed.

They fixed a lot of the gripes I had with it when it was on Battle.net, especially closer to launch gripes. They also fixed the end game grind, in my opinion. A lot of stuff to chase after, some of it is a little tedious, others are more fun and engaging. More end game things were added for high power players as well. Has not been in a better state from a game play perspective but the cost of Eververse stuff still feels very 'in the works', as if they are trying to figure out the price point that will keep players willing to buy it but give them enough money to keep their work funded.

Overall I would definitely give this a try, even if you played it on launch, because it is a lot different than it used to be and for the better.
