Wow wow wow. I enjoyed this game so much more than I thought I would. I'm rarely compelled to write reviews but this game deserves a lot more love than its getting.

When I think back on it, in every way this seems like a game I wouldn't enjoy. I'm not good at precision platformers and this is an extremely difficult one. But the incredible level design and instant refresh made it not only tolerable but enjoyable. I didn't get mad when I would die, it was just a puzzle I was figuring out and getting closer and closer with each attempt. And you will die a lot. For example, in the 5th and final act, I died a total of 863 times.

Even though I got an F grade on all 5 acts, I feel like a badass for finishing it.

The aesthetic is great, the cutscenes and soundtrack are absolutely incredible. I will be purchasing the soundtrack as soon as I finish typing this review.

This game certainly isn't for everyone, but I can't speak highly enough of it. I'll certainly be watching for what Turbogun does next. Thanks for making this great game TG!

I first saw Kingdom at the Indie Megabooth at PAX Prime. After putting in about 3 sessions now, I've enjoyed my time with the game quite a lot. And I should mention that I'm not typically someone that enjoys the rogue like formula. (where you play until you die, then start over)

As other reviews have mentioned, there are issues with the AI. Archers often stand right next to money spawning rabbits and pay them no attention. When they do notice them their aim is quite a bit worse than i'd like it to be. There are also issues with the overall pacing of the game. A bit too much downtime for my tastes. I also wish the horse could would pick up money much easier. If one lands on the ground where your horse stands, you have to walk away from it then back over to it.

I take the time to list the above issues because I care about this game enough to point out its small flaws in the hopes that the devs will improve them. Even with these issues, the game is more than compelling enough to keep me coming back.

The art and audio in this game are absolutlely incredible. On top of that the $10 price point is more than fair. Give this one a shot you won't regret it.

I've only played 3 levels but I'm already in love.

You start playing about 2 seconds after clicking 'play', where you are thrown into a remarkably elegant first level that teaches you how Mini Metro works. The iconography is so simple and the aesthetic so clean that learning how to play just happens naturally.

Deceptively simple, the depth really starts to reveal itself a couple of levels in.

An excellent way to tease your brain and dazzle your eyes when you have 10 - 20 minutes to get a quick gaming fix.
