Always was interested in DF, but never could get past the ASCII style of the free version, this steam version has been a phenomal upgrade, and well worth the price. Be prepared for a difficult, obtuse, and sometimes frustrating experience that scratches an itch for a complex colony simulation.

Oh, and the soundtrack is A+

It's a difficult game, punishingly unfairly nearly maliciously difficult. HOWEVER once you kill that team, get the bounty and extract there is an immense feeling of satisfaction. The Gun's all feel properly meaty, the reloads aren't fast, the fire rates are slow. EVERY shot counts. It feels like Tarkov went back in time, got stripped of half the extraneous garbage and given some good horror elements.

An exceptionally fun Management game that allows you to play the part of Das Boot.

A bizarrely fun game, which has the possibility of going horribly wrong in the most entertaining fashion.

To start, with 11 hours of playtime to my name I will state you have to be a special sort of broken to love this game, I am that special sort of broken - This is the game that a lot of us who played Silent Hunter of the last few years have always gone "You know what would be cool? If we could all be on a sub together" But like I say it's not for everyone, the systems modelling is complex, the game play is a slow burn that turns into a sheer panicky mess in an instant, and after a tough mission you're going to be dog tired.

But if you get a good crew together, which so far everyone I've come across in game has been excellent, - not necessarily great at the game, but just decent folks - and you're gonna have a good time. The game forces you to Cooperate because you have to to achieve anything. But the feeling of satisfaction when you finally get the torpedo hit is incredible.

The Devs have been incredibly communicative and responsive, and definitely have their heads in the right place regarding where they want to go with this, and I can't wait to see what they have planned.

The only thing I can say against it is the price point, but I believe ultimately its justified by the fact that the market for this game is so niche, and the team is so small, and the publisher is Subsim of all outfits - so do yourself a favour if you're a Silenthunter fan, and have always had that itch to drag your buddies down into a submarine with you, and pick up the game.
