This game is an unmitigated pile of trash.

I've put in 3k hours before the "modern vision;" now the game state is virtually unplayable.

As with any incompetent piece of software it was pushed out in a state of absolute catastrophe.

NightSky is a game, made by humans. As far as I can tell; usually that's enough to make me buy things.

This game surprised me in a pleasant way by overcoming my aversion to more abstract indie software, which in my experience tends to exude a strong atmosphere but lose out on substance. NightSky favors a deliberately minimalistic style both for graphics and control, which after initial doubts quickly grew into a grander experience. The effortless interaction between the player and his mysterious "black sphere" lends the game play an almost subconcious quality, which is layered upon an enigmatic background of churning machines and eerily blinking creatures (think World of Goo).

I actually played this game on 3DS, but don't tell the people that work here (they might be Steamed)!

Before Call of Duty became a household name, Counterstrike introduced a generation of PC gamers to first person multiplayer perfection. Two teams, and maps which respect the balance of power between opposing factions, as well as a gun game which rewards on the fly strategy as much as a carefully placed headshot.

Time is unkind to most franchises, but as testament to the excellence of its gameplay: CS Source has yet to be replicated by any of its peers.

Terraria is what you make of it, I would say that is the premise. At first I thought it was a Minecraft clone, and a glorified world editor. Really there is some meat to this game, it's definitely action oriented gameplay once you clash with the monsters. I wouldn't recommend playing alone, there is a stiff challenge and a learning curve that varies depending upon your interest in online research. I play to fight zombie hordes during the Blood Moon, to survive Soul Eater attacks in the depths of the Corruption, and for a chance to open a chest with rare supplies and armaments. All this from a game which is a system light as it is content heavy.
