Nice Hotel!
(booking tips - ask for a knife)

Key features
  • Very similar to Resident Evil series,
  • Great puzzles,
Read this, check that, memorize one more thing...
St. Dinfna Hotel has a lot, a lot of puzzles.
It's the safe codes, hidden in notes. It's invisible hints, revealed only via camera.
It's a special key, which you assemble gradually and then backtrack to unlock multiple boxes. And more!
Solving the above is rewarding, as you get upgrade points, rare ammo and in other cases pressing correct keys is a requirement to advance a story.

Little RE brother
What does this game have in common with RE? Rare saving stations. Inventory, which you can expand. Scarce ammo and shaking enemies. Aforementioned puzzles. There's even an item box, where you can store unwanted things.
Furthermore, say hello to a local chaser. Not as tough as Nemesis or Mr X, but its appearances (often after important story episodes), may disturb you.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3365788610

Fobia is much less stressful experience, compared to RE
By difficulty, it's more forgiving. Multiple mechanics (camera, puzzles, new blockages) play out well.
In the end you may have more questions than answers, but for me it was well worth the time.

I Receive 6 Gbs Available Space, You Receive 10mins Gameplay
Key features
  • Extremely short prologue,
  • Hehehe, furry headcrabs,
  • Cool winter environment
Need more, MUCH more of this stuff
The Prologue is ridiculously small. It's literally just a tiny part of Ravenholm very first streets.

I liked its Northern Lights, they look amazing.
The overall graphics and lights are very satisfying.
The mechanics is pretty 1 to 1 as in Half-Life 2.

Definitely would like to play a project like this.
You got our attention and tickled appetite, now serve the mains, please! :3
Meanwhile I recommend others to check out Entropy: Zero 1-2, Evacuation & Transmissions: Element 120.

Martian Caves
Key features
  • Cool magnet gun,
  • Rather boring gameplay,
  • Light 'n fun coop survival mode
Minimalistic destruction
I played Armageddon after RF Guerrilla and honestly expected some wrecking. Nope. There's a bare minimum of it.
The core play is walking through (my character refuses to run after a few steps) underground caves, shooting bugs, BUGS!
Overall it just feels so lame, even occasional turrets and mech episodes don't make your journey better.
The only nice touch is the magnet gun - you can send items and enemies flying with it, eventually killing by impact. That's it. But it's pretty awesome to crash a tower into some shielded alien, or attach a barrel and explode a bunch of them.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3361976731
Easiest Coop Mode
I played multiple survivals in the past and Armageddon here surprised me - it's very simple. A teammate goes down? You can revive him instantly with one click, even from several metres away. Waves get incredibly chaotic with players shooting all kind of energetic weapons and... farting ponies 🤔
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3362804855
Old and Obsolete
I had some issues with this game - very often it wouldn't launch the next level, but return to the main menu. Cinematics were automatically skipped and... I'm back to the main menu. Video settings reset each time and forum solutions didn't work for me. I get it, the game is old and I'm just glad it works at all.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3361976964
Apart from above, Armageddon is an alright game. Extremely casual, has some fun upgrade perks, awful story and dragging linear caves, but hey, at least it's not too long.

Loved the Original so Much, Completed its Remastered Version Too
Key features
  • Crazy people with heavy hammers smashing buildings,
  • 100+ side quests,
  • You can import your saves from the original game
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3359773088
A better version?
First thing you might want to ask is if Re-Mars-tered is better. It is!
There are better textures, you can notice that with many vehicles and mechs, smoother running and no random freezes, the original used to refuse working unless I unplug and plug back keyboard; as well as traditional improved lights and slightly changes physics. Go for it!

But what if I never played the original?
Welcome to Mars! Your playground includes several big areas with over a hundred sophisticated activities and much less story missions. Feel free to drive any technique you see e.g. chunky trucks with rocket launcher mounter on its front, walking exo suits crashing enemies with a might swing of a metal claw, light and speedy luxury cars, even tanks! It's fun!
And it's friendly for new players and returning warriors.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3359776216

Barrels, thousands of them...
Best in-game challenges ever! Frequently you will encounter a task to demolish a building with barrels. Then you find yourself with a single bullet. Or a hammer, Or a railgun. Landscape and distance will vary a lot. Have fun figuring out what and how.
Done with them? Hop on that lunatic... err... martianatic and shot everything and everyone on your route!

This Game is Fantastic!
Key features
  • Михалыч,
  • Superb rock soundtrack,
  • Brownie points for humour
Better than FlatOut
With all honesty and hundreds of hours in FlatOut series, I state that TRAIL OUT is overall better than FlatOut.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3355693349
It's like this game just picked the best bits and shoved them in your throat. Love off-road racing? Have some farm fields, safari, snowy forests. Destructible cars? Opponents ram you sideways and rear so much, that nitro fells off and you can't use it anymore! :O

There's a goofy police mode - you chase AI cars and shoot them, request road blocks and drop spikes. Good ol' derby (be the last car standing) and escape mode, where a big ass plane drops a bomb. Finally, TRAIL OUT even has a campaign story - say hello to parody characters with unique boss episodes.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3353668666
They Don't Do Humour Like This Anymore
"TRAIL OUT" - hold my beer...

The best chunk of the game is its humour.
It's the protagonists, Михалыч & Женька (футболка Пивозавра? зачет!) who build cars from scratch and later race them. It's the in-game app, where reading comments is always "lol, wtf".
It's the antagonists, parody NPCs from other games and movies. Never thought I'd be ramming an american farmer with his girls spamming me with grenades, 'merica, f yeah!
It's the dialogues in cinematics which are just dumb & funny.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3355693922
Thanks for Rock!
At last! Some real music! Just a couple of bands, Onlap, Nick Eyra and New Vegas, but it feels like devs used only the best songs. They fit sooo good! The urge to accelerate even more and smash them rivals intensifies! *cranks up the sound*

Definitely a Must Play.
Strictly positive vibes. It's a very rare game experience out there, can't recall having so much fun from a racing. Don't miss it!
SEQUEL when, devs???

Snowballs 'n Chill
Key features
  • Very relaxing
  • Simple ↑→↓← navigation
There's no yellow snow...
This game is a perfect example how laid-back gaming can be.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3353399442
You can always undo your last move, you can reset your current progress and start rolling a snowball afresh.
Each snow patch isn't big enough to overheat your brain, yet ain't small enough to make a puzzle into a two-steps solution. It's just right.

The whole area is some kind of a big park, which opens more entrances as you build new snowmen. A meditative experience for a few hours, and a very pleasant one.

Wow, such Metal
Key features
  • Very metal \m/
  • Most awkward movement implementation (manual direction change🤬)
  • Skill required, unless you memorize patterns.
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only Metal
Space. Hostile alien beings. Giant statues with lanterns, swords and colossal ruined structures.
It's epic. It's awe. It's Valfaris sequel, all hail the mech!
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3350831483
Limping adventure
Generally, I enjoyed Mecha Therion a lot.
One HUGE complain is about its manual change of direction. While in any other game you automatically turn left/right when press A/D, here... you must press a separate key. Just why?..
I genuinely died mostly because of this "innovation". As if the game generously showering with enemies and craptons of projectiles coming from various angles wasn't enough, I had to remember to click extra button. Thanks, I guess. Let's not do that ever again!

Keep up with the pace
Do not relax. Sit straight. Eyes open. There's TOO MUCH going on! The game is always on a move, literally. You are being moved forward and if you don't clear out the path, well, gitgut and restart a checkpoint.
Homing orbs, ground turrets, floating creatures, ceiling guns, laser mines, frequent bosses... oof, tensity is real.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3350936450

Solid Game!
Did I mention that Mecha Therion features the same composer Curt Victor Bryant? Headbanging is guarantied \m/
Simply awesome game. First battles with bosses may (no, actually will) seem unfair and too punishing, but only until you start noticing patterns in their moves and then outgun w/o a single hit.

Frequent sequences get extremely chaotic, but hey, that's the fun part! Another cool bit is weaponry. Flamer, blast-cannon, melee hammer and swords. Pick a set and off you go!

How much slime? Yes!
Key features
  • short game and matches,
  • very well structured and easy to navigate,
  • can play as a ghost.
It's casual
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition (or GSUEE) is a very relaxed first person ghost hunting adventure.
Extremely forgiving one too. Your character doesn't have health, can jump off heights and only occasionally gets slightly slowed down. If you lose, so what? An average match lasts from 5 to 10mins, just start another.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3345190540
Extra points for not having to wait for any ridiculous online queues - pick a mission and you're already loading in \m/
There are ten different locations with a bunch of ghosts to hunt down.

The story is almost non existent and it's literally the same set of maps replayed over and over.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3344866172
Ghosts are cool
GSUEE focuses more on a ghostbuster play, with its gear and cosmetics, unlocked further as you level up. But there's also a ghost side, which I find more appealing.
Ghosts can possess items and then move around, so the game becomes a Prop and Seek. They can scare NPCs with various abilities e.g. summoning minions, infernal hands, or simply hanging people in the air. It's just fun to jump into a plushy and then boo everyone in your way.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3346216125

Nice game overall. It's simple, doesn't artificially extend its value, has multiple gear skins which you kinda have to grind, but don't have to. One of a few games where experience is showered on you. Well done!

Yay, Bikes! (★ ω ★)
Key features
  • AI does some weird voodoo driving stuff,
  • Career has different modes and racing environments,
  • You can do stunts!
Reflex > Encore
I played Reflex after Supercross Encore and I enjoyed a lot more - better tracks, more forgiving physics, shorter championships. A lot of driving happens outdoor and most of events last literally a few minutes. Not a snooze fest at a stadium like it was in Encore.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3343274213
AI is not impressive and may become annoying - it frequently lands on your driver, resulting in your crash. It may lose control and just flew off a road, bashing you along the way. Gets even worse during buggy events, those vehicles just can't race at all!

Nice mini challenges and other modes
Another thing(s) I liked in Reflex were separated stunts competitions - you get a massive open area with ramps, all for your experiments and joy.
Plus, there are checkpoints hunt, hill climbs and timed trials. Not really challenging, but may require a few replay to find an optimal route. Very nice indeed!

Rhythm, you have it or you don't, that's a fallacy, I'm in them...
Key features
  • Filthy AI cheats and cuts the corners ◑﹏◐
  • Funny stunts in the air,
  • You can slap a sticker to a character's glutes!
Mixed emotions
I had a rollercoaster trip. Overall very nice racing mechanics where you must approach curves and safely land bends being leaned or pulled back (smth new for me), but this gets destroyed by AI opponents who very-very frequently just drive off a track, gain superior speed and return to the track with a huge advantage! Screw your efforts, you lose now.
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3339161231
Quad my rage
Liked the idea of bikes competing quadbikes. Plus, after several races you can upgrade them and even customize your driver. Little things, but they made me happy. However...
MX vs. ATV already has simplistic physics, but some vehicles made it way worse - certain quadbikes were extremely hard to control. What's funny here, even AI had bad times with them i.e. I observed them losing steering and dashing off the track. Thanks for the upper hand!
https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3338721041
So, yeah... MX vs. ATV is alright, very arcade-ish racing ride. Nothing special.
