if you want to own a serious racing car simulation - just FEEL rf2. i playerd rf2 with both a logitech g25 and even a direct drive wheel and believe me i am really impressed by the effects and physics which translate the behavior of the virtual car to my input/output device (steering wheel).
take your time to practice in single player mode to try different cars and different tracks. in some mods and especially with releasing the USF2000 car the default setups being useable.
the single player mode is not that excessive at all because of missing (i call it "carrier modes" etc" or a plot.
it is just a base where you can choose your car and track to practice, learning racing lines, working on setups, working on skins and so on.
in terms of racing against human players it is top notch and worth any cent i spent.
i really like other racing games and i play(ed) a lot of them as a consumer and sometime as a beta tester but whenever i switch from a "racing game" back to rf2 i have a big smile on my face independent of the car/track combination. furthermore with studio 397 it seems that the development will be pushed in the right direction. the future will show us more......
