It's a masterpiece.

This game killed my WoW guild, highly recommend!

Fun game, but day 1 DLC and extremely buggy.

This is the greatest single player game I have played to date. It's the kind of game I've dreamed of since childhood, and every other "exploration" game has missed the mark until now. The game's beauty pulls you right in, and somehow with minimal hints, is able to encourage you to simply explore.

Although exploration is the main means of advancing in this game, that doesn't mean the story isn't engaging. Important story-related log entries are fully voiced, which makes things flow incredibly well, since you can listen (and re-listen) to these pieces of the story while you continue to explore your surroundings. The game subtly points you to various key locations and moments, without railroading you or feeling linear.

The survival element of this game is also very intense. Each area you explore has new flora and fauna, and you'll find out quickly which ones are dangerous if you're not careful. Hunger and thirst exist, but are not overly tedious to maintain, and it's fun to discover which food and water options are most efficient. Can be turned off if hunger meters are not your thing.

Overall, the game has an incredible way of allowing you to discover a whole new part of the world just as you think you've seen it all, and that feeling of discovery and accomplishment as you explore more remote and dangerous areas kept me completely gripped for multiple playthroughs.

This game is revolutionary, but also revolutionarily boring. The concept is great - a mix of RTS and city/citizen management elements. However, unless the devs find a way to prevent the frequent periods of 3 minutes or more that require absolutely 0 clicks, it's a strong thumbs down.

An RTS that takes the focus away from twitch reactions, and back towards battlefield positioning and map control tactics. Very fun!
