You're a member of a small fireteam and you're in over your head.
Man-sized insectoids dwell on the alien planets you are invading; many burrowing from the ground beneath you, some towering over you like living buildings.
Hellish androids are stationed on similar planets, using military tactics/firearms quite like your own, even being airdropped onto the battlefield with additional war machines.
Your democratic indoctrination convinces you that your government has supplied you with the orbital countermeasures and strategic equipment to assure victory over threats like these, seen and unseen, but you're losing confidence these days...

No matter how fun and chaotic the game is, no matter how satisfying the cooperative struggle and power fantasy can be, publisher meddling in May 2024 (and frankly not enough developer pushback) has removed the sale of the game from nearly 180 countries worldwide, likely including places where players had already spent their money.
I can't recommend purchases of the game until this situation is corrected.

An amnesiac little robot plays courier to deliver a package with no addressee, in a rainy night-market world where humans have long disappeared. Short story that is not yet complete. Playable demo's events differ slightly from the purchasable game.
There's more going on in the setting than is initially believed... looking forward to the rest from this solo developer!

Truly the most lively and entertaining purely cooperative class-based shooter available today.
If you enjoy cave spelunking and watching bug armies be killed, get some drinks and some friends!
The developers have poured their hearts into this game and it shows.
Robust character loadouts and intelligently randomized mission generation keep me coming back week after week.

Turn off your brain for 30 minutes and aid some farmstead fauna friends in a stress-free 3D platformer romp.
It's free to play and runs well.

Going for all of the achievements gives you enough time to really enjoy the BGM!
Especially if you're bad at the finale, like me!

Do you like niche anime girls? They're in here.
Do you like fun with friends? Have some!
Do you like board games with hundreds of achievements? Got you covered.
Do you like suffering? Err, umm...
Do you like frequent nightmares about "what could have been"? Ah, well...
Do you like becoming so addicted to something you keep coming back? Heh, about that...
Do you like being at the mercy of one of the most suspicious systems of RNG ever conceived by man?
...what's wrong with you?

I count this as UFG's real swan song. Triad Wars was the MMO no one asked for, and Smash+Grab is some kind of incredible afterthought that was available for less than a month.

Also I have around double the recorded playtime if the original release is taken into account.

This rerelease of 2012's GOTY is almost entirely better to own over the first. The executable is now 64-bit, resulting in improved stability (though I don't recall the other release having any issues). There are loads of visual flairs included this time around, however I wasn't able to use many with my mid-low ranged PC without sacrificing a high frame rate.

All non-cheat DLC is included in the package, plus it's integrated into the actual story so the whole experience feels better fleshed-out. There's enough content in the base game to warrant a buy, so having the expansion stuff is nice icing on the cake. Niceing.

One thing I will mention: even with the week one patch, and tweakin' of xml files/forced GPU magic, SDDE's textures don't look as superb as what I remember from regular SD. Maybe it's another Berenstein vs Berenstain mandela effect where I'm just remembering wrong.

To sum it up, the game is a beautiful "Grand Theft Arkham: Hong Kong" and I let tears fall for the lost potential of a true sequel. United Front Games is dead, long live United Front Games.

Starting this review by saying I'm sure this is a game made for mobile devices. It's an adept time-killer for short burst play and there's a large pause button in the top left of the screen.

For a quick synopsis of the plot itself, you're one gopher in a large clan of gophers and you're having a barbecue. Your neighboring dinosaurs weren't invited this time so they've decided to simply crash the party. This turns the encounter into a tower defense scenario where you and your fellows do what you can to prevent long hordes of dinos from eating your food.

The method is a bit different from other TD games in that the "towers" you place are shaped a bit like Tetris/puzzle pieces, so there's some fun behind where you place your gopher pals along the track the dinos use to reach the grill.

Dinosaurs! is pretty enjoyable and cute. The voices from the towers you place (all of them some kind of device staffed by one or more gophers) become grating toward the very end of the game, and there are strange spikes in difficulty if you dedicate yourself to only one technique to win. You'll find a few towers function much better than others but don't let that stop you from trying every one.

I bought this in a sale bundle and spent a little over a dollar on it, and got more than my money's worth. If you like the tower defense genre and don't mind colorful games or LOTS OF gopher puns, get it here or toss it on your phone/tablet.

I was a donor for this game when it was first coming out and received almost all of the DLC for free because of it. For the past year however, I haven't been able to find any online games whatsoever. The community is thriving somehow and I don't understand. A new mode was made available and still I only see empty servers when they're even visible at all. Dumbfounding.

Take this review any way you want.
