Not sure the second interrupting popup, with the person talking, actually explains anything better or improves the game in any way... rather annoying actually, it was nice to play a game in the old style again, where the items themselves are sufficient explanation

simply because everyone does it now, does not mean it's a good idea supported by good reasons

So I'm really sad to say this, having nearly a thousand hours in the game as I do, but Glitchwalkers is a pretty major disappointment. It's just a story module with some otherwise-useless story-related schematics. I thought for sure they'd at least add some technology to improve/streamline some of the more onerous existing systems - at the very least, a way to automatically lay train tracks behind a car! But there's nothing. It's like they forgot what sort of game they were making... Astroneer's story is cool, don't get me wrong, both base and xpac - but it's a sidebar in a sandbox game to which they have forgotten to add new toys. Rather they've plopped you into a new sandbox with your old toys, but then scolded you and taken some of them away, saying you can have them back when you earn them. Honestly it's super surprising, this is the last thing I would have expected. ... It's not even good parenting.

In the prepatch they teased some new larger size technology, but there's not a Larger Printer and you can't even print off the x-shaped table, nor the gigantic parking platform thingy... When you finish the Glitchwalkers story, the planet does not even get integrated into the save you started from, you can't teleport back, the story ends and you're just stuck on an isolated planet with nowhere to go. All this talk in the story of instances and portals, and yet...

It's a nice world they've added. Too bad it's useless. i hope they have a roadmap for further development....

And then there's this Less is More HC mode. Proximity to the big cool platform is good, but what ever happened to geothermal power? Be nice to cap those jets rather than just destroying them... grumble grumble

super annoying bug where if you use pots between levels you start your next level with 1 health. I used a green pot and then two healing pots; started at 1.

Please fix.

This is a game that hates itself. At least, the dev hates it. If this were not so, the dialogue in the game would not consist entirely of characters complaining that they don't want to be there and just can't be arsed. Games like this don't particularly need a story, it's true, but allowing your personal insecurities to become the text of the game is simply not good content.

Please at least pretend your game is worth writing a story for. If you had, you would have created a very different self-fulfilling prophecy than the one you have.

Fire head doesn't work with any of the bodies! Needs fixed.

Aside from that, the game needs more content - not that there isn't a lot already, but it's awesome and I want more!

160 escape attempts, nearly 150h in, all achievements complete, and I'm STILL getting new content after virtually every run, still finding new builds to chase.

Just truly an awesome game. I don't think I've played any singleplayer game half this much since Final Fantasy 2 when i was a kid.

At this point, for me, what this game needs is an endless mode, or double the length of each zone, or... like an Avatar mode that lets you focus on the boons of a certain god, just for fun.

And I salivate at the idea of an expansion. I'd love to go up and wreck Olympus.

Just truly a crowning achievement. Buy this twice.

they killed modding, the sole reason to play this game at this point. Why? Brain death. Do not buy until they get someone in charge who actually likes gaming

Horrible, lazy ending that forces you to destroy all the relationships you spent most of the game building, even though there are simple, clear, obvious alternatives.

You can convince a guy out of a mutiny by saying "just give me a chance" and then saying it again, whinier. But you apparently cant concoct an argument for not killing your friends.

If you thought the Paarthurnax problem in Skyrim was bad, well, don't even bother with this.
