Beat em up gameplay, incredible cutscenes, interesting characters, and a compelling story with tons of weird things to do. I doubt anyone would regret buying this one. Unless you absolutely hate weird things, of course.

I haven't liked fighting games in the past 20 years, but Tekken 7 is a masterpiece. There's no other game that gets your blood boiling (in a good way) while taking on countless revenge matches against a worthy opponent. The game is so flexible that no matter how good of an opponent you face, there's always ways to fight through their strategy.

There's no words available to describe this game. Gameplay wise it's similar to old 2D JRPG's but... It's really f*cked up, weird, funny, and horribly disgusting.

If you're able to withstand horrible imaginary, sounds, can crack a couple of puzzles, are able to play a bit of strategy, and you've got a bit of dark humor in you, you'll surely enjoy this. I can't believe how good it was. The game isn't easy either. If you're just pressing buttons, you'll probably get screwed up. Can't save everywhere either so you'll get punished for dying.

I've never played a game similar to this in terms of humor, balls and game play. Sickening at times though, so, play at your own discretion. In the end, the beautiful story really left me speechless. The soundtrack too is spot on for a weird game like this.

Seriously, at least purchase this game when it's on sale and make sure to give it an hour. The game really grows on you and it will make you feel weird things.

Edit: Play the DLC as well.

5/5 and a masterpiece of indie games.

Beautiful aesthetics, great soundtrack, spot on gameplay, but a little short. Worth the money though. I want more like this.

Truly a stunning masterpiece from start to finish by the legends at FromSoft.

I will write a more detailed review later.

I thought Rome Total War was the full experience of this series, but I was wrong. Medieval and the earlier game Rome are very similar and I've already reviewed Rome, so you should read that first here.

The game has changed a bit since Rome. You are not worrying about your nearby enemies only, for you will be answering to the Pope as well. Whichever country who is the Pope has the ability to call crusades on other cities. Instead of answering to the Senate, you will be asked to go on missions by the Pope. Needless to say, failing to grant the Pope's wishes will cause him to "think less of you" and at some point he might even crusade you, even if you're an ally. Mongols will also invade at some point as an event and they're a pretty intimidating force, althought my experience with them is very vague. They've been using this "two headed snake's tail crippling-strike move" in campaign map in which they really never move, just look really threatening.

I think generals and agents have a bigger role in this game, but they do lack some of the more funny traits like "catamite" combined with "violent tendencies" and "perverted". That made a one sick guy that you wished was dead and sent immediately to war alone, making sure he never comes back. Instead of all that weirdness, in this game most of the negative traits are either that they're alcoholic and incapable or just plain dumb.

I think battles in general are better, but siege battles are way better than before. All units are stronger than before and that makes the game different from Rome in battles. You can't rely solely on shock heavy tactics anymore, because the troops are all trained and won't break immediately. Graphics are great instead of acceptable like in Rome, music is spot on, atmosphere grips you tight so you can't stop thinking about your Kingdom, campaign map is deeper than in Rome, gameplay is different but fun and challenging, and on top of all that you will learn things about history.

You will face turns where you have no clue what to do and figuring out the best way will take time. It's not a game for people who are not up for the task.

I think Medieval 2 TW is a game anyone should buy if they're willing to challenge themselves to think differently and see what a masterpiece of an experience they made a long time ago. To see how games were made before they turned into expensive 2-night stand mass products.

It makes me sad and happy at the same time, just thinking about Medieval and Rome. Happy because of how polished and well thought-out games they were for their time, the music, the quotes, the detail in the descriptions, and how you can just feel how much they loved making these projects.
Sad because nearly all published games today are a mass product for the sheep. It reminds me of how games haven't been anything like this in over 10 years and how I wish there were more artistic teams out there, not just money making machines, but people willing to make beautiful pieces of art like this one.

The new Total Wars aren't bad, but they do lack a lot of depth in comparison.

Buy Medieval 2 or Rome and enjoy!

Masterpiece of multiplayer melee combat. Good modding community. High skill game with the most honorable community I've ever played with in 25 years. If it's on sale, it's a no-brainer really.

A pile of garbage. That's all I remember. It's been maybe three years since I played.

Yep. Its like a free to play mobile game. Just better to never touch this. Konami raped Kojima and now this, just pathetic and shameful display. They even have fox engine and still manage to not get it running properly. It looks horrible too.

Must buy if you plan to play it in co-op. Also really good if you like the Samurai theme. On its own without co-op or any real attraction towards the Feudal Japan, it's still a pretty decent strategy game. I just want to say this game is beautiful when it comes to the clans, the units, their descriptions and how all the factions play on their strengths. Takeda has the most skilled horsemen, Shimazu has the best katana warriors, etc. After years I can still see in my mind the campaign map with the Sakura leaves floating across the screen as the wind blows, with great music playing on behind, all while you're contemplating about what to do with your next move. It's a great feeling playing these games.

My biggest problems with this game is how the AI works. If you bumb up the difficulty level the AI resorts to full cheating, meaning things like if you lose line of sight of his army in campaign map he will have a new full army spawned out of his bumhole. The higher difficulty you play on, the more cheats the AI puts on. One peasant with a fork on legendary might be able to win one of your trained swordsmen. These things only become a factor if you want to play on the highest difficulties. That's the way of the new Total Wars.

This game goes backwards in terms of gameplay, mechanics, and the AI when it comes to Total War Rome. If you are planning to play this solo and don't own TW: Rome, buy it instead. But it's a good game on its own if you do and especially with a friend!
