Now, i can tell what alot of you are thinking, well at least the from a viewpoint of a person who was a huge fan of the very first Gunz The Duel, as i imagine a fair amount of the people playing or who looked foward to playing this may have been, but. Gunz the Second duel is a huge dissapointment. I came willingly with my money ready and my memories of the hack and slash fun times i use to have (when there weren't hackers all over it) i was brimming with excitement when i saw this hit the steam store and was playing it immediatley, but what i thought would have been a smoother re-vamped super shiny new content filled game... turned out to be one of the worst experiences i have ever had with an online game. Sure while i write this review the game is in open beta but it doesn't even feel ready for that it is clunky, laggy, choppy, buggy, the game feels like it is still in pre alpha and should not be played yet. My first experience with this game was myself and my brother jumping into the single player campaign thinking oh sweet some fun co-op to play beside the main multiplayer side of it, but what we got was a bunch of hallways and corridors filled with enemies that could so easily destroy you the second you take a wrong step careful not to get hit once or the enemies stun lock you and kill you almost imediatley. They also have the nerver to add in a life system with COINS as your life you start the day with 3 coins you can use to revive yourself and fallen allies if you lose all 3 of them back to the start you go with nothing gained, making it super hard to enjoy it with just a friend. they then basically force you to buy revival coins to continue playing the single player side of the story when it's not lagging that is, and don't even think of playing it alone there isn't a hope in hell of playing through it unless your willing to pour money into the game. Now the multiplayer... OH BOY.. THE MULTIPLAYER... there is nothing good to be said about it it's CLUNKY, IT'S GLITCHY, and from my experience so far so laggy that your enemy if they are the host will have killed you before you have even seen them appear, you simply die while seeing these bodies of the other players jumping around the room at 1 frame a second. And the classes are NOT BALANCED AT ALL. Swordplay is almost useless in this game the only thing it's good for is it's knock up ability and even then once they are knocked up they can't be hit again unless you switch over to your gun and shoot at there stunned body on the floor. and the servers are terrible. This is not gunz this is not fun if your thinking this will be just like the first game don't even bother this is not worth your time give it a year or two then look back into it maybe they might have a working game, and a non-linear unbalanced story, MAYBE!!! they might not use every asset they have to extort the player base into spending money to play the damn game... i give GUNZ THE SECOND DUEL a 3/10 for at least giving me a look at what could have been a sequel.
