I used to play WoW religiously back when Legion was in full swing I quit because it just felt more like a JOB than recreation. But I was doing Mythic raids and dungeons plus I was on a full PvP server and I mained a rogue. Hell even got Gladiator in Wotlk in 2s (back when you could still get gladiator rank in 2v2) using a rogue/feral combo and we would just pick a target and burst damage the **** out of them. Back when feral was OP as hell, the good ol days right? Perhaps.

Anyway I say all that to say this: This game definitely has a lot of potential. Especially with the free to play model they currently have. I am only lvl 31 so far, I started with sns/wand because I hear it is very strong in PvP endgame and is useful in PvE as well whether that is true or not I could not tell you. BUT it is a fun game, the combat is far more advanced and intuitive than WoW and IMHO combat is like 90% of a game - if it sucka or is just mediocre then it's a done cooked goose.

I like the gear leveling so far it doesn't seem that paying is necessary so far but time will tell when I get to max lvl and start pew pew pewing..
