This actully made me hopefull of Destiny again.
It's got it's flaws but all in all a big overhaul in many ways.
They have ditched the seasons. For good or bad, we will see.
The problem with the seasons was they were stagnating at a rapid pace.
The last DLC:s accompanied seasons was the worst i had ever experienced in a couple of years.
To be honest if i could have gone back in time i would have convinced my past self not to buy it if not for the "keys" to dungeons and raids.
(Don't get me started on that god awful predatory financial idea)

Now to TFS.
It is good, a new actually kind of interesting and fun area.
The layout is linear, but that does not bother me as much as i thought it actually would.
Altho a landingzone or two more would not have hurt.
The new prismatic subclass renews the subclass system once again. The older struckture of subclass is still there, and the builds somewhat still viable. But the prismatic opens up a way of playing with the skills and abilities in so many new possibilities and ways.

The story is ok. We all knew what would happen (sort of), so really not that impactfull actually.
More of a good feeling when you finally got to totally hammer the face in of the kid that had bullied you (and others) for so long in school and everybody cheered when it happened.

The raid.
It is totally opposite of root of nightmare.
Only one team beat it within 24 hours.
That says a lot.
It is "complex".
But sort of not.
If you know what to do, as always, practice makes perfect as they say.
Team based all the way, not as other raids before.
Maby one or two encounters that does not require all of you teammates.
Most often everybody have something to do except clearing adds.
Even if "tis just a simple task" it is still fun.

Now we will see how the whole episode thingy goes.

All in all, The final shape gives off a kind of "Taken king/Forsaken" vibe.
Buuut, Taken king and Forsaken are a solid first and second place for me.
Sadly Forsaken campaign is no longer playable (Damn you Bungie).

My only complaint is that i wish i had another one!

I thought i already bought the Witch Queen expansion. But it seems like the other half of Witch Queen was released aprox a year later, and instead of Witch Queen part 2 it was renamed Lightfall, and sold to us a s a brand new DLC.

What i mean with my rambling is simply, why tf was this not included in the already short Witch Queen campaign?
A part from that, this felt even shorter and even more unfinished than WQ.

The raid,,sorry, i meant the 6-man dungeon was ok but short. Also buggy as f**k when released. Worlds first raid race was a total catastrophy for Bungie.

The seasons that come with it...my god, most moneygrubbing ♥♥♥♥ in Destinys history.

Now, over a year later, regarding the seasons. Yeah, they really tried to suck every penny from the players by as little effort as they could.
The next season worse than the one before.
This was Destiny 1 year 1 bad.
If the final shape had not saved it all Destiny pretty much hanged by a loose thread a looooong time before the next DLC.

When the story started picking up and feeling really good. It ended.
But all in all, it's ok. Raid was fun.

Seasons had the usuall order:

Bad
Good
Meh
Awsome

After the campaign finished it felt underwhelming and that something was missing.
Turns out the missing part was half baked and later sold to us in the form of the Lightfall DLC.
What an overcoocked piece of c**p that one was.

Story felt short and almost rushed, or more like a filler.
But with it came a new subclass, a overhaul of the system, a new destination etc.
Neomuna feels new and exciting. (Edited, i was lied too, it is one of the most booring places, trust me)
Hopefully they will continue building on this as the year progress with both the main plot and seasons.

That perfectly describes the feeling when Bungie sold this to us, they really tried to such out every penny from as from as little effort as possible.


If it were not for them doing a total 180 with The Final Shape Destiny would have withered and died in money grubbing suits and a dwindling playerbase.

Its fun and the online is really fun with friends.
But, the controls are not that good. The game is kind of buggy mess from time to time.
Well, it is a rockstar game after all.

Well. The crashing amongst other things.
Hawk vision AI:s.
AI:s shooting through walls.
AI:s constant grenades (elites).

Well. I hate to love this game sometimes....
