The ambient music is wonderful, but it doesn't play well when you try to create and maintain momentum in the beginning. Makes you wish there's an option to add a slingshot in the beginning and when you are stuck.

A cute, charming visual novel that makes use of a surprising amount of great writing for the three "candidates" in the game. The writing is really enjoyable and is paced perfectly, even having the dialogues change or the occasional hidden dialogues appear when you make the right or neutral choices from before. This makes each playthough different and adds a peculiar spice depending on what action(s) you choose. The art is also very colorful and every character is expressive, brimming with personality and has a lot of attention to detail for characters drawn in a moe-style. The music is really good and, depending on the situation, it can be cute, uplifting, cosmopolitan and has its share of doubts, spare for one or two music tracks that has its "overacting" moment.

Your main character is well-rounded and very understanding, where even the "wrong" choice is handled in such a great way that it makes her a sincere friend to be with. You follow her as she plays a Pokemon Go-inspired game with three other girls. Just about everything in the story is enjoyable from start to finish and is a great way to unwind to even for those who are on the hunt for the multiple endings in this game. This is definitely a visual novel you can easily pay $5-8 to play, as it is THAT good for a free to play game!

And for those of you who are apprehensive about the same-gender-ness of the story, it is very mild in this game and you only have two kissing endings for each of the three character routes in this game. Speaking of which, Brin is the best of the three girls! Whether you win or lose, every part of her route is excellently written and a blast to read until every route is covered! Even the losing routes are the best and leaves you on a high note for the next season (if there is one! XD). And while Rayen and Honoree is good, the former can be uneasy social-wise and the later can be painful to watch. Nevertheless, it's still a good read and the music is enjoyable to listen for both of them, even the ragtime-like humor music that plays within one of the arcs. XD

A immersive, ambient world, where places have their own varying synth sounds to behold, that is in desperate need of a map, jump button, save system and any form of a hint system to actually get to where you need to be going. It's a great concept, but way too open-ended and it's a chore to find where you should get to the next set of puzzles to unlock audio synth modulators and signals for your in-game studio. I got so bored out of this walking simulator, and as a music buff and a fan of a good puzzle I was disappointed.

A good concept for a twin-stick shooter marred by a few major deal-breakers. First off, it has the "Dynamic difficulty scaling" that sounds great on paper but in practice is entirely broken in its difficulty curve. Even when I'm taking it too easy it scales at a higher level way too quickly, and there's no way for the game's difficulty to curve back down which defeats the purpose of the "dynamic" part of its feature!

We also have an unnecessarily confusing and grindy upgrading system. For example, I love the idea of upgrading my max health and have better healing per orb, but before getting that why am I required to upgrade other stats with so few shards that are dropped in-game? Also, Life Seeker and Soul Stealer makes the game bearable, but that robs you from getting the needed attack upgrades to progress through the acrobatic chaos. This again defeats the purpose of getting the upgrades you seriously need, and the long-term upgrades are paltry at times! And what's the point of unlocking a spell that allows you to plunge down to where you can't see a thing when upgrading your existing spells is the better option?

Speaking of which, we go to another deal-breaker: The camera! You only have a fixed view that desperately needs to be zoomed out, as you can barely see more of what's ahead of and behind you. In a game that ramps up the difficulty level too fast, you will have enemies appear in front of you or in vertical "blind spots" from out of nowhere, where you would have much better reaction time if you were given any choice to zoom out and see ahead of you! And why can't this game allow you to see more of what's above and below you, both of which within half the distance of your horizontal view? Super Mario World can do that, yet this game doesn't have that! You can't even plan how to approach those areas unless you like winging it, which is risky.

Overall, go for a better twin-stick shooter than this unbearable ordeal. DX

So far so good, this is one of the few, if not only, battle royal games I actually like! There is a great balance of gunplay and movement, the time-to-KO from most of the weapons in this game is near-perfection and, unlike Warzone but not like the Counter-strike series, the footstep noises are more consistent and you actually know where the approximate locations of your enemies are. Thanks to that and the gameplay mechanics of this game, you are guaranteed to have satisfyingly good wins with your squad overall. The ping system is very good for no-mic-ers (e.g. Myself!) and the roster of characters with their special abilities is the icing on the cake!

If there is one bad thing about this game is that you're still playing a battle royal game. With every game you will encounter a lot of trial and error that's near-similar to playing a Rogue-like. Map familiarity is your friend when deciding where to land in relation to the dropship's path, which place is best for your team to find loot and nearby cover, which places to go when the ring closes at a certain location and where to prepare yourself and possibly get extra things when the space starts to get more hectic. There are times where the pacing of the game can be well-rounded but there are other times where it's either a chaotic mess, a running simulator or both.

Overall, if somebody likes to play a free-to-play battle royal game, I'll recommend this game! Just like My Pillow, Apex Legends has met the hype!!

P.S. Each character has their playstyle, but here are my recommended starting characters for those who are interested: Bangalore is AWESOME, Lifeline is very helpful and Bloodhound and Pathfinder is surprisingly good to no-mic as.

A short, but very sweet visual novel featuring two introverts as they build their relationship through high school, encountering bumps and plot twists along the way. The writing is well paced throughout, while the calm, idyllic piano and guitar music perfectly captures the scenery and moments within the story. Our male protagonist is a well-rounded guy, while the more introverted Ceri, the heroine, is breathtakingly beautiful throughout the story. As you follow the story, you are pulled within a roller coaster ride of an emotional experience, some relatable for the awkwardly social, others...basically part of the story. Still, it ends in a good note and you will be satisfied after you finish the story. I know my wife enjoyed it too! Although we do agree that the story near the end can blur right into the student romance fantasy territory, as though the relationship looks like "puppy love" instead of really love. Then again these are high school students and we basically see what having newfound love can feel like to the inexperienced. :P

That being said, I'll replay this visual novel a few times to see the different endings!

This is a fantastic chiptune soundtrack that is a blast to listen to! If you've played this game before but always wanted to buy the soundtrack, this is your opportunity! Just be aware that the Shinjuku and Shrine stage theme is mislabeled as one another. Until that [possibly] gets fixed, make sure to switch the names around to get the names right. You can always play through the game to double-check if those names are in the right place. :)

Having played the living daylights out of this game on the Xbox 360, I can say this is the same fun beat-'em-up that made the successful transition to the PC. For a spin-off of a fighting game it came from, it is surprisingly good! And if you've played the Fatal Fury series before (e.g. Not me!), you'll feel right at home as you make use of two lanes in this game, as you progress through the stages beating baddies on your way. The gameplay mechanics are pretty fun and, with the right skills to put your acquired points on, you can pull off some interesting combos and cancelable moves (For example, air chain grabbing with Itsuki is REALLY satisfying! You can always pull off one big YOINK, but make sure to jump in for one big YOINK after another!). The chiptune-style music is epic to listen to, and while the storyline can feel as though it's trying too hard, you can still learn some good life lessons, especially when you play Mikoto's story mode. Until the true successor, if not successful sequel, of Castle Crashers comes to fruition, this game will satisfy any beat-'em-up fans!

P.S.: If you purchased the OST with the game, be aware that the Shinjuku and Shrine stage theme is mislabeled as one another. Until that [possibly] gets fixed, make sure to switch the names around to get the names right. Don't worry, the correct music is played in-game. :)
