On sale yes.

I keep coming back to this game off and on over the years because the car combat is fun, but the on foot combat leaves something to be desired. And the upgrades for the car feel rather linear and like there's no real choice outside of tires for sand or tires for road, other than that you're just balancing weight and speed.

I think I might like the aspects of this better than the actual combat of the base game. I'm all for more content like this.
If someone tells you not to google something in the campaign, don't do it. I made that mistake and almost threw up

10/10 would humanitarian work again.

A great game. 10/10. Would emergency manage again.

1 thing though, and I might've missed it, I didn't notice any hotkeys which resulted in frantically looking for the right button to give a command.

This is edited, because going back through my steam stuff and this just reminds me of when I was unemployed and trying to be funny and failing. Here's the short and sweet.

-I paid half price for this game.

-They've fixed a good amount of bugs, but in the first hour of being in the open world I fell through the world twice and rode a bike through a wall 3 times.

-It is too easy to avoid enemy patrols

-if you have weapons out in the yellow zone(where you're suppose to blend in with civilians) I noticed no difference between if they see you waving around a rocket launcher or if you're just walking around.

-The story starts off kinda nice, but after a little while it just falls down on its face. The people who have legitimate concerns about the reprocucions of your actions are just brushed aside as weak willed. If they object to questionable things the resistance does? Bleh, they're just not dedicated enough. Just a bunch of weak justification for calling the resistance good. I so want to spoil so much, but for those who decide to go ahead and play it I wont.

-The multiplayer is pretty nice and the missions are more entertaining than the main game.

I haven't played any of the DLC, but I'm thinking of giving it a try.

-UPDATE-
After the updates and the Rising Tides DLC I will say we're closer to decent. The different CIVs have a little more personality and diplomacy is a decent thing but needs more. But some friends have been telling me that they're experiencing technical issues and can't even get hte game to run on their machines.

In short, the game was a solid "meh". Now it's ok. lets hope they make it good soon.
---------------

I want to like this. I really do. It takes one of my favorite game and gives it a great setting. However the exicution is so weak that I refuse to believe that this was made by the same people resposable for the previouse CIV games. Instead of looking forward to the next turn with curiosity and anticipation, I found myself just sitting here numb and automatically just clicking on things.

To be more specific:
The Civs are way to simmilar. In my hour to 2 of playing I was asked to aid in a war three times, but they used the leaders name and I had no idea who they were talking apart. That would be fixed by just adding(Civ's name) after the leader's name.

You can't do anything with the stations(basically Civ 5 city-states) other than trade with them.

Diplomacy is pretty much non existant outside of "Ya wanna shoot them with me?"

The whole thing seems more and more like a quick retexture of half of CIV 5's content(before DLC). There was so much potential here and I just don't understand what happened. I think they might be saving a lot of the content for DLC, but that only makes it worce because you're not only cheaping out on base content but now you're also nickle and diming your fan base that has come to love and respect the series. Who thought this was a good idea in any capacity?

One of the best MMOs I've played in a good while. Get a bit of lag once ina while, but nothing too bad. The story is decent and the landscape that's twisted by alien influences is unique. The only things that really cost anything are for customization, and even then some basic customization is free. Download it, give it a go, it wont cost you a thing.

This is what I think all zombies games should aspire to. Reasonable base bulding and resource management in an action game. As for DLC, Lifeline is great, but breakdown is just a sorta free play mode.

NO! Just no.

The story is so full of holes and inconsistencies that it gives me a headache whenever I try to think about it.
The controls leave alot to be desired.
The weapons feel the same for the most part.

Overall it just feels like a shallow shell of what it could've been. At times I can see for the makings of some clever puzzles, but I'm guessing the boss came in and yelled at the developers for trying to put in anything but shooting. I myself wish they just kept the game the way it was back when it was suppose to be a FPS. That trailer back then held alot more quality and promise than what this whole game became.

Early Access Review
I'm impressed. This indie game has accomplished far more and to a much better degree than alot of AAA titles I've played. I suggest picking it up and here's why:

The AI pathfinding is wonderful. A follower only got stuck once and that's because I was trying to build the bridge as we were walking over it and I accidently built ontop of him. So chalk that up to my fault.

Speaking of building I must say this is one of the nicest system I've seen. My only complaint is that I can't make slopes at any angle that I want, but I haven't fully examined the builder so I could've just missed it.

The voxel system creates one of the best mining systems that smoothly change the terrain as you dig and mine for minerals.

The item/vehicle creation is very nice and adds your own touch to the game.

HOWEVER there are some negative point, but these might be solved as time goes on:

The ranged weapons feel inaccurate. Yes you point and shoot and it hits the target, but the pistols feel like the rifles and it all seems the same.

Some claim that the melee combat is like Monster Hunter, but I disagree. You can't specifically mess up a monster's leg or wings. On top of that I haven't found a way to dodge yet so it's been a contest of who can hit harder.

There's no way to sort through the crafting menu. it's alphabetical, but if you forget that what you want is the "portible medkit" and not the "small medkit"(which I don't think there is one) then you can make the mistake of thinking you can't craft any small healing items

Despite these complaints I like this game as is and the proposed additions can hopefully only make it better.

EDIT: Upon review in the upper center of the replicator menu there is a way to sort out scripts. I found that it isn't a user friendly as other sorting systems, butit does exist and makes things simpler to a degree. Thank you to Thariorn for pointing this out to me.
