So I am still recommending this despite the negatives im about to give. The graphics and scope are increased from the first reboot game (some of the graphical improvements are great), a crafting and open element is added... but it doesnt add the enjoyment or feel of the game - its not such a rush, not such a compelling ride, I was not nearly as invested in the characters or the storyline so found it easy to drift away to play other games (not the case in the first game i can assure you). So I still enjoyed it and i'm still looking forward to the third game, but i'm hoping its more like the first and less like this one, if i want to craft things i'll go play Conan (well actually thats exactkly what im doing atm :) )

quite simply the best tomb raider game ive ever played and one I played from start to finish day after day - was hooked, love it (love it way more than the next one). The pace is frantic, the story great (it has a better storyline and better acting then the movie!) And the sense of space, height, movement - all captured brilliantly

Naked minecraft? I love this game - its sucked in hours of my time, I enjoy the look, the fighting, the building, lots of building. There are lots of things that could be better, I'd like some storylines for sure but still working away happily at my little village populared with captured thralls, figuring out how to set up kills for the bigger monsters and steadfastedly refusing to look for the "best" armour etc, happily made it to level 50 with light clothing and a big sword. unlike many sandbox games I've not found anything a grind and have already more than got my moneys worth from this title (and i see taming animals as pets is coming very soon - even better). I'd like a bit more obvious of a lead through the high points, the empty map just doesnt really entice detailed exploration, perhaps some ? marks when you see something from a distance encouraging you to go see what it is... anyway - good game, not sure the dlc adds enough to make me want to purchase it but we will see.

So glad to have rediscovered this absolute classic, it hits the balance of strategy and fun like no other before or after, the graphics hold up remarkably well for a game of this age. I had memories of playing a great train sim from decades ago but could never remember what it was, tried so many of the more recent ones (Cities in motion 1 comes close) but none had that playability, then I saw this in the sales, read the reviews, thought - this might be the one - an oh yeah it was, clocked 230 hours over the holidays, almost completed all of the campaign scenarios to gold or silver (some of those took many many repeated attempts till i figured out the strategy) its not all the same either, some require you to work on personal finance - some favour passenger transport some reward a venture into the automobile industry... true classic for real

first half hour: excellent so far - interesting story, nice art and good pace

upon completion - still glad I bought it, its not a long game and well its not a game - theres not a single choice to be made throughout. Its a cute story, cute graphics and well paced. Dont bother hunting down the uncensor patch, it doesnt add to the game at all.

i dont think id be happy paying a lot for this but in sale or as part of a bundle its worth a spin.

I tried, i really did but this failed to capture my interest from the very start, i struggled through a pile of boring dialogue and lost the will to live - probably the most dissapointing game i've played

for a free game this is great - the battles get a bit hard if your not on the idealised upgrade path however its the story that's the best part of the game anyway so I just dialed down the battle difficulty a bit when it got to being a real chore and enjoyed the game even more. I initially thought the girls all looked a bit similar but its quickly clear that each has a deliberately very different personaility from each other. You get to be their hero - and why not. I'll not say too much but the ending was good and leaves you wanting to buy the next game in the storyline - having saidf that, this one is plenty long enoufgh for a good enjoyable playthrough spo its not a cheap teaser so you buy the next, its a great game in its own right.

One of the very best reboots of a classic, played from start to finish and starting to do it all again - good balance, good challenge, good game. Like the best of the originals you need to take care of your squad, experienced members are essential so you cant just lose them in battle. I would have liked a little more variety of squad - i dint really get a feel for the personality of my team, they look too similar all kitted out and the stats were not all that different but as a turn based combat game it was excellent

This is my second elite dangerous account, my other being my kickstarter purchase and loggin so far 2977 hours play time. I bought a second in anticipation of the opening up of the second human inhabited bubble. I have read the negative reviews and whuilst each to their own and everybody is entitled to their opinion I cant help at despair at the modern review culture which enshrines impatience and revels in trashing peoples hard work. For me this game is Amazing, its the game I've been waiting to play since first reaching Elite in the 80's original. There are sublime views to be had out there and a truely opn book to play in many different ways. It's not a mass multi player interactive game, you can play cooperatively or oppositinally with others if you go looking for it but its not the norm. Its a great flight sim, it has a solid economy and political model beneath the surface which can be influenced (permentantly) by player actions. There is huge depth and satisfation in picking a minor faction and helping them grow and develop. The recent engineers expansion has added a wide variety of potential configurations to ship loadouts, it you have imagination and dont need insta (cod generation) gratification then this is an amazing game and only gets better as Frontier devlop it month on month. It was launched as a playable and massive universe but not too much in the way of refinement. Personbally I think this was the right thing to do as Ive enjoyed playing from day one, as opposed to other games forever in development but never released or overhyped only to be cut short and dissapoint. So I Have a robust and dealy fighting ship I take into wars, I have a multi purpose mission runner with tons of cargo space that is a joy to fly, i have a mining ship to trawl the asteroids and soon i will fit out a lightweight exploration vessel to take to the centre of the galaxy - so much to do and with exer expanding stoyline and functionality. You arent going to be led through a scripted game nor are you going to be babied through the early stages - my advice - dive in, find an offline player group for support and let your mind wander free in the vast galaxy.

One of the very best mods for one of the very best games of all time - Ive had so much fun playing this mod with my kids over the many many years and will be cranking it up again - play through the entire half life game with a friend at your side - some great maps to try out as well.
