Using UE5 results in this feeling like all the boring open world toss we have already. Looks generic now, feels generic now. Performance is pretty crap, mouse handles terribly, FoV is off for ultra widescreen displays, enemy spawns are handled terribly, etc, etc......

Feels inferior to what modders have now achieved using X-Ray. You're all better off playing Anomaly or GAMMA. Another disappointing new release, and a shoddy successor to one of my most loved franchises.

Clunky and unresponsive melee combat, without much feedback or weight to anything. The ranged combat isn't much better tbh. It just feels generic.

Really not understanding the hype round this one, especially given the asking price. Felt like a budget Gears of War.

It's hardly changed since FC3.
Series needs a reinvention, or just putting out to pasture.
It's also mind-numbingly easy, which only exacerbated the problem.
Not even worth it at a heavy discount, imo.

Men, it's been a long war, it's been a tough war.....
and now we finally have Normandy!
New maps are beautiful, bocage adds plenty of options for flanking and short range indirect fire.
Great addition to the game.
Brits next, or we'll steal all the tea.

The first Quakes ♥♥♥♥. This is THE Quake. Soundtracks still boss.
Looks clean, runs well.

Don't buy it for Coop, it's got some right annoying bugs in it, despite being out for ages (can't progress one of the later missions without faff, gear options getting stuck). Weakest storyline of the 5 Halo games I have played, actual gameplay is pretty fun, but they're losing the Halo identity in favour of ticking boxes off the UBi open world checklist. Games okay, but it's a "No" from me on the Coop bugs alone, sorry.

If taken as an overall package, it's a definite step down from Vermintide 2 right now.

The melee combat is still great, the levels look amazing, and well, that's it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't know what I'm supposed to be playing for. There's no red tiers to grind for, the cosmetic options are anaemic, and the loot system super limp.

I see no reason to play above Malice right now, as the game offers basically no rewards for doing so. As a result there's no big difficultly hurdle to try and overcome, and the game dies a death about 35 hours in.

Balance is also all to ♥♥♥♥. Veteran craps all over Psyker and Zealot in both ranged and melee. Some weapons vastly superior to other in both CC and damage. It's a hot mess that needed longer in the development oven, and the damage is probably already done. Shame, as this was the game I was most looking forward to this year.

Finally, a successor to SWAT 4, and to some extent R6 : Raven Shield (back before Ubi raped the franchise).
There's some jank right now, It's slow AF and can be a bit clumsy (I've shouted at as many doors as I've opened), but what's here so far is already a lot of fun to play.

Pre-Entry floor plans would be nice, and game needs a few more levels to be worth the current price of admission, but what's here is already is a great foundation and fun to play. Game also looks clean, and runs well. Stoked we've finally got another CQB orientated tactical shooter, it's been way too long.
