220 hours on my one play through - I jumped into this game with the 30 year old stained gaming experience of the "wip - may not reflect what actual gameplay may be" . I've always done this so i'm always happy with a certain amount of hours and enjoyment.

After getting into the city and watching the npcs.. realizing they were very basic ... I got over it and played the game. This game is a masterpiece of what can become, I was in awe with the story and presentation.

They could have done so much more but for 80$ I got my money worth and then some, I havn't paid full price for a game in years. Only mmo's force me to do that. I wanted this game day one , and I loved every min of it.


Wishlist,
-more random ♥♥♥♥ to do in the world
-more brain thingies, They could have done so much with this" pop a disc in, experience over 1000 video -playback types of skydiving to sex to fighting virtual monsters... I hope they add to this
-no limits on the buildings. wish each building had more floors.. coulda added more inter-villages this way
-fix the blood mini map to zoom out while driving even mods have fixed this
-the lack of coding for physics in the rest of the game past the begining... walls breaking etc.. some fights on the street get real when you can break teh corner ad display, but sux when it's not everywhere

Great game. Fan of the comics so I picked this up with that in mind.


Never played the first one, I have seen it played over the shoulder, and it seems like you get more to do , get lost.

The Darkness 2 is a great linear story game that can be completed in about 5 hours.
I find this is a great point at 7 years later as it's a bin game and I don't have 100's of hours to sink anymore.
You'll think it'll get repetitive , but as you upgrade and get different foes , it's never the same every time you replay a checkpoint.

Played on easy first playthrough, then don mode +. Don mode is very fun, but do yourself a favor and get some essence from a playthrough on other modes.

Easy to get all achievements, don't need online to get em all. 9/10 in my books. As a short game and 4$ buy, the value of this game would tarnish if you paid more then sale prices. Fun.

Great Game !!!! Multiplayer is dead and I'm a achievement guy. Anyone with this game that wants to tackle any of the multiplayer achieves add me on steam "duhgobling" :) i'm sure we can get it done in a few hours

Great single player game!!! A bug getting 100% but ok I'll play it again.

Can't wait for the next one!

-Fighting is stealth if you like or run and gun and jump away .. you choose
-Maps are massive and really well put together
-Unique puzzles to this era

Cons
-Some simple puzzle like block pushing and turning missing from original era .. could have been used
-Some ridiculous hidden gems .. hard to find even for the expert
-Dead multiplayer.... why don't games have bots anymore ?
-Should be a audio feature to shut Laura's erotic moaning up, Very hard to play in another room without people thinking you're watching porn lol

Borderlands has that cell shaded bad ass feel that I love.. the added pop... The love of numbers flying off your hit foes was always acsthetic to me. 8/10 for when I played ... TOO many weapons!!! lol
