Having played Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3 back to back. Got to say I like this one a lot less.

W2 was kinda buggy and rough but has that nostalgic charm that takes me back to the days of Baldur's Gate and Fallout 1 & 2. Wasteland 3 just tries to be all XComy and Divinity like but without the polish. The majority of the characters are cringy and one dimensional, sucking any immersion out of the experience. With the exception of Colorado Springs and the near final area where you deal with Liberty, most of the other locations feels more like little dungeon crawls filled with a bunch of quirky post apocalyptic things (killer clowns, robots, cyborgs, cannibals or what not). It just doesn't have that sprawling scope the old rpgs had.

Also hate how easily you're able to cheese most encounters by suiciding your heavy damage dealers into the enemies just keep reviving them with help of some perks and items.

Then there are the bugs.... bugs bugs bugs. Lost count how many times I had to reload and replay because of bugs. Camera would spaz out, encounters not trigger, "fight" not ending even all the enemies are dead, Scotchmo picking lock while Lucia using computer terminal broke the interface. I made a separate save before encountering Liberty with the intention of seeing different endings, with or without Ironclad, spare Saul or not and what not. Guess what? the cutscene just bloody freezes every time I get to Ranger HQ... just didn't have the heart anymore to replay this hot pile again from an earlier save so I just went on youtube to see the other variants of the "ending song"...no big loss.

Really wanted to like this game, clocked around 55 hrs into it but my overall experience with it was bittersweet.

It's awesome, one of the best RE game in a while.
Just wish Lady D and the big fetus are around for longer!!

Coming from someone who is an ARPG fan, not some hardcore gamer but a casual fan.

I have had Wolcen on my radar for sometime. I only jumped on after its "full release" and was not part of the beta / early access. Did so after watching some promising reviews and first impressions by a few Youtubers. They did mention their videos were sponsored by Wolcen and maybe I should have took that into account.

Boy was I in for a surprise.
Boot up the game for the first time, WHAM! cannot connect to the servers!
Thought OK, Diablo 3 had similar issues when it first launched.
I'll just try offline mode in a single player game.
The graphics "look" nice
Right off the bat I noticed the animations feels janky and unpolished.
Presentation is lacking production value for a game coming out in 2020
The quest marker points are unhelpful and often lead you in the wrong place.
The writing and voice acting is cringe worthy with some awkwardly placed profanity.

I can look pass those surface level issues if there is a good ARPG game underneath.
But nope
Random CTDs
Quest objectives not registering (had to portal out and walk back again for the scene to trigger"
Skills not working properly (fully charged "Death Gazer Railgun" shots randomly missing mobs entirely / terrible pets AI)

I have only clocked around 5 hours into Wolcen at the time of this review, I'm sure more issues are bound to appear as I play more it.
It is far from the worst or the buggiest game I've played but in its current state, I just cannot recommend it.
Why waste time and money on a game that feels like it is still in beta when there so many other great games out there.
