Dishonored - Death of the Outsider is the final game in the Dishonored series. It is a sneaker or slasher, depending upon your play style.

You play as Billy Lurk, one of the assassins that killed Empress Jessamine, with much regret, after the fact. Billy, who was Megan Foster in Dishonored 2, has reclaimed her original name and is searching for Daud, the assassin who killed Empress Jessamine. She find him and he shares his desire to kill the Outsider for all of the pain and misery that he has brought to the world.

Dishonored - Death of the Outsider feels shorter, and faster than the first two installments of this series. Like the previous chapters it introduces some new locations and takes you back to places you have been before, in the previous games, with a new look.

Billy's relationship with the Outsider isn't as straight forward as it has been in previous games. Billy gains a few powers early in the game and gains additional abilities as the game progresses, but they are already decided for you, so you don't get to customize her to your play style as much.

As the previous games there are normally both a lethal and non-lethal way to complete the task at hand. New in this game are "Contracts". Contracts are basically side challenges that you have the option to complete or not complete. Contracts have strict terms for you to abide by. Failure to meet the terms will result in you not being able to collect on the contract. Unlike the main game, contracts will require you to kill or not kill your target. There are also collection contracts where you have to get an item from a location, how you manage that, is up to you.

Dishonored - Death of the Outsider is a decent addition to the Dishonored series, but is also clearly the weakest game in the series. I recommend getting it on sale or as part of a bundle.

A good old style gun FPS, other than the last boss battle. Tons of side missions and weapons upgrades. After killing the final boss you able to continue on and complete any missing side missions. I stopped playing after all of the missions as I'm not exactly sure what the point is to keep going, even though you earn another weapon and horse upgrade. It took me 17 hours of play time to complete 100% of the missions.

If you're a Portal fan, you'll like this game.

The AI of a space mission wakes you up to find the crew members who disappeared. You must solve puzzles designed to thwart a computer from passing.

New methods of solving the puzzle are introduced through out the game so it isn't always fitting the same old pieces into a slightly different puzzle.

The Park is an interactive story. The story starts off with a mother and her child leaving an amusement park at the end of the day. The child has lost his cherished toy and the mother goes back into the park to find it and begins her slow decent into madness. I enjoyed the closing episode where she continues deeper and deeper into her madness. There are a few "jump scares" but mainly it is mainly psychological terror where you, as the mother, slip deeper and deeper into madness.

An adicting little puzzle game. You match the four corners of the area you want to pick, the larger the area, the better. As the game progresses you get to deal with various pests, bugs, rabbits, and crows. You earn money to purchase different kindw of seeds, a bigger house, storage buildings, and things to assist with the vermin. After you max out your farm by purchasing everything there isn't much left to the game. Total play time is six to eight hours.

The game is not Blackjack. Initial options is to have a 36 card deck, didn't even bother playing it that way. I set the deck to 52, as it should be, if not a multiple of 52. Cards are dealt one at a time. You choose to take another card or not. You go first. There are advantages, if the other player(s) has a higher amount than you, you can take a card and it doesn't matter if you go over 21 as you were going to lose any way. Game play is too slow.

If the game was actually Blackjack it might be worht it for that, but since this is the developer's own version of Blackjack it isn't worth it.

While I can recommend this game there are some components of it that make it a lot less fun that it could be.

The Good: You play two different characters with different styles. There are a lot of different weapons for you to use. A good story to get you through.

The Bad: The gunfights are a terrible mechanic. You need to move your mouse down, then up, then aim before you get shot. For me it was basically luck and emptiing my gun in their general direction. Some of the puzzles will drive you insane and referring to a walkthough is about your only hope of figuring it out.

The Ugly: Save and save often as death is a random thing. Immediately after a save you might get hit by a golden BB, the next load you have no problem killing the shooter. The end of the game is frustrating as you have to figure out what you need to do and get to sit through a cut scene until you get it right.

I highly recommend this game. It is actually more of an interactive narrated movie.

I find that the more I play a game the more I understand the people that made the game. This is a progression of games to show you how someone thinks.

The chapter with the notes would make a great study of how humans behave.

I purchased the BioShock Humble Bundle. I have previously purchased BioShock and BioShock 2. I stopped playing BioShock 2 becuase I wasn't enjoying it. Now playing them again back to back I found out why. BioShock 2 was dumbed down to allow game console play. This was a major detractor for me from the original BioShock, especially the hacking piece of the game.

Since I stuck with the game this time it does eventually get to a point where harvesting Adam is actually not incredibly painful, which is why I dropped the game originally. Since dying when harvesting Adam makes you restart the harvesting process, without all of the ammo you wasted on previous attempts. The end result being you're out of ammo and out of money to purchase more. Your only option at this point is to load a saved game.

What would have improved the game would have been to allow the same controls as the original BioShock. Unfortunately PC players are limited by what the consoles can do decreasing the quality of the game.

Bottom line, if you're a console gamer this is a great game. If you're a PC player this is a good game due to the limitations implemented to accomodate console players.
