I've played through the entire series (mostly on GOG), including the Twilight Zone fourth installment.

For me, one factor was crucial to the experience, and important enough to share in a review: Set the voice audio to German, play the game with subtitles!

The Deponia series is a great example for what a difference voice acting makes. The English actors aren't bad, but they're horribly miscast (I felt the subtle sense of humor was raked over coals and the game's atmosphere became unsavory, grating, and cynical).

Deponia is a very, very different place depending on what its characters sound like. The German voice actors are spot-on and contribute a lot to making Deponia what it is.

It's a fun little rogue-like game. I favorited it after placing a lutefisk cube inside a lutefisk cube to see what happened and died from the resulting lutefisk cube paradox.

This was a great game back in the day. Some of the best MP co-op fun I've ever had. It feels a lot more dated now, compared to other more recent shooters, and the AI is a dead aim. Hopefully the 2012 Ghost Recon will bring back some of the excellent wide-open missions (supposing it won't be developed for consoles).

One of my favorite sandbox games, simply because the setting (Panau) looks fantastic. Using the wire-thingy to attach an enemy to a propane tank and send him on a ride, and various other devious uses for the device (including convenient transport) adds a lot of amusement to the gameplay, as does the great sound and fun physics. Enemy spawning is annoying, cars are mostly a bore with the only interesting vehicles being military or blackmarket, and the island has less sense of life than in a GTA title, but overall it's a great vaction spot for blowing stuff up.

The best horror game I've ever played, slightly better than Clive Barker's Undying. No fighting, but the puzzles are pretty fun, and the story is good. Excellent use of sound to give it potency. It's difficult to play in long stretches, because it gets a bit too intense, but it's rewarding if you do.

I didn't know the buttons on the xbox controller were pressure-sensitive until I played this game. Pretty much requires a controller. (Despite that, the two-man development team apparently sold more copies on Steam in its first two weeks of release than its total sales on Live Arcade.) This game punishes you for not being perfect. It's played in very short levels that get extremely difficult and sometimes seem designed just to piss you off ... until you finally get it right. Great retro-music and fun visual design, and plenty of content.

One of my favorite games. It's like Prince of Persia in first-person. It's a game that may have suffered from being too challenging. The story missions can be really frustrating, and the cutscenes are crap, but once I mastered the moves and jumps, I felt a sense of accomplishment (until I looked online to see how people were managing to do some of the time-challenge runs). The time-challenges are probably some of the best races I've ever played. There's some amazing acrobatics and parkour you can pull off (and need to in order to make the best times).

Like BIT.TRIP.BEAT with it's faux-retro graphics and sound, but it's more challenging that BEAT and more fun. It can be annoying to have to restart a level if you make one mistake, but since the level instantly restarts, it's easy to try again for one more run. Brutally unforgiving, but exhilerating to execute a perfect run. Reminds me of Lode Runner.
