I haven't been online in a while but when I did use it the system worked well. It has robust single-player features and it's just fun to play.

Very crunchy, satisfying sound effects. Poor sound effects can kill a game. It's a lot of fun, similar to Double Dragon and Hotline Miami. It's very fast paced and the levels are just the right length.

Just finished my 1st playthrough. I haven't played the Secret of Mana remake, but I do regularly replay my SNES copy and I have never played the original Seiken Densetsu 3. I feel like this is a perfect modern sequel to a SNES classic. The combat feels modern, the movement is good, and the music and graphics hit those nostalgia nerves just right. I enjoyed every minute of it and to be honest, I don't finish too many modern games due to getting bored. I think this is a good length for a fun RPG and I look forward to completing all of the story-lines!

Very reminiscent of SoTN in the best possible ways. I enjoyed the crafting and cooking, hunting down recipes, and the dialogue easter-eggs. Works fine with an XBOX 360 gamepad but I had to do some tweaking to reduce the input latency (there is an option for it in-game but it still had too much for me to enjoy). The latency was an easy-fix, just required turning off v-sync and then going into Radeon Settings and forcing enhanced-sync. I think the game is beautiful in motion and just the right length for a metroidvania. I finished my playthrough at about 16 hours and now I'm just poking around, looking for anything I may have missed. It is a very worthy buy if you're into the genre!

Early Access Review
I really enjoy this game, I play about 2 hours a day and I have a lot of fun. However; I cannot currently reccomend that you spend money to gain access to the game until it has some serious patches put in. As far as I can tell, there isn't any type of matchmaking system, it's not uncommon for me to be on a team with 3 bots facing down a full team of 4 humans. Also, the game crashes frequently for me, about every 6-12 minutes. I often have to rejoin a match in progress 2-3 times. Coupled with the abyssmal load times (almost two minutes to get back into a match after crashing) can make for a frustrating experience. The formula for fun is there, I really do feel like I'm back in the late 90's playing Quake 3 on my AMD k6 system, unfortunately the load times can make it feel like I'm also using a late 90's modem.

This is possibly the funniest game I've ever played. If you're unfamiliar with South Park, it has a lot of toilet humour and sexual jokes. Combat is turn based with a quick-time event addition that let's you activate bonus damage/defense. It is reminiscent of Super Mario RPG. The town is fully realised and there are more easter eggs than you could hope for. Completing the main quest line and the side quests took me about 20 hours of play time, which is short for an RPG but I think it's a perfect length to ensure completion of the game without feeling fatigued (I have trouble staying interested in longer games). It truly feels like an extended episode of the show!

I played Gauntlet 2 on the original NES for years upon years and I feel like this game is a faithful remaster of that formula. For the asking price of $20, I have no buyers remorse and have had an enjoyable experience with the game thus far. If you're looking for a loot-driven dungeon crawler, this is NOT what you want; this game is more about cooldown management and circle-strafing while mowing down hordes of respawning enemies whilst attempting to gather gold and destroy enemy spawn points. As for loot, there are cosmetic options that you can earn in the game with gold purchases, and relics that you can purchases and upgrade for limited use during the levels. The four classes are quite distinct and I've found a few good combos for 2-player co-op. It seems like a simple game at first, but there's enough depth lurking here to keep you busy for some time.
