Great game. A lot of server owners have tight buttholes. As in, you tell a commander that he should do something differently and he happens to be an admin, next thing you know, you get banned for "racial/homophobic slurs" or something along that line.

Don't be grumpy when you play. It's a great WW2 gameplay experience. But be warned, the old guard of players are EXTREMELY sensitive to any constructive criticism, so unless you want to get banned without warning then make sure you know who you try giving pointers to :)

I love this game and am checking daily for info on when the new DLC drops. My ballz is hot. I be seein' them on the news.

I would say one of, if not the top game of 2023 thus far.

I love Dragon Ball Z. I grew up watching this show, collecting action figures, trading cards, and t-shirts. That being said, that time has passed and I picked up the game purely for nostalgia but also came in hopeful with the possibility of the game actually turning out good. After all, it is DBZ and, if nothing else, should have top combat mechanics.

I was wrong. There's so many things wrong with this game that it should honestly still be considered in early access. I could go on and on about why you shouldn't buy this game and give you an in-depth dig of all the bones I've got to pick with it. First of all, the combat isn't terrible but it's definitely not good. At the beginning of the game, it actually felt really solid. You can dodge and counter, block & even reflect some attacks, This started out pretty fun, but got boring and even worse during certain higher difficulty fights where the countering wouldnt even interrupt attacks and you would just be a free target if you countered.
Second, the game is EXTREMELY repetitive. I'm not joking when I say there's like 3-5 mission types that you see the ENTIRE game. At one point there's a REALLY REALLY sad attempt to throw some variety in it by adding a vehicle race. The car race had a top speed of like 55KPH (KILOMETERS!!!) unless you ran through the speed boosts which would give you an extremely non-exciting boost to like 120kph.
Third, the dialogue is really watered down. The main story can be somewhat cool at times. But most of the time I find myself just fast forwarding through the dialogue to get to the only semi-exciting part of the game which is fighting.

There's a lot more I can go into that's wrong with this game, and feel free to message me if you have further questions.

However, with all of this being said, if you're like me and grew up on this show then you might still find it worth playing just for the ability to reminisce on the best parts of the show. You do get to cover the stories of Freiza, the Android Saga and my favorite of all time... Cell. Also, they did a really solid job on the animations of transformations and energy attacks in combat. Super Saiyans do, as always, look really cool in the game.

So my final review would give this game... and I feel generous by saying this... a 3/10. The price tag is absurd, and no matter how much you love this show DO NOT spend that kind of money on this game. Wait for a sale or buy a key from a third party retailer. They were high when they decided about pricing. This game is nowhere near AAA quality and thus paying for it encourages crappy, seemingly unfinished games, to continue doing selfish and greedy marketing tactics such as this!

This game has a ton of potential though, like i said. It seems like they've added a lot of building blocks to eventually make a great game. But that's it. It seems like they added the blocks. Blocks that we can't do anything with but for them they can do a ton and I'm hopeful someday they will.

do NOT buy this game. you will slam your face into your keyboard after spending 2 hours trying to find someone or do anything and ask why you didn't refund the game sooner.

Don't get your hopes up

It's a good game, very fun, similar to Rust a few months back in some ways and better in others. There are many less glitches and client side errors are never a problem. You can adjust the settings enough to run this game smoothly on low-end machines and it still looks good. On release, I was more impressed with this game than any other survivals.

However, the bad side of this game is that the developers appear to have abandoned it. I say this because there last tweet for their dev page was on December 4th of last year which wasn't even 2 weeks after the release. We've seen no updates, no dev blogs, no tweets or anything since. They released 2 updates to attempt and fix serverside performance issues and they didn't help although it seemed like they were on it.

I could be wrong, maybe the developers are currently working on things now but I doubt it because their involvement in the community has been 0 for over a month. Typically not a good sign. You don't take a break for 1.5 months of work.
