Pretty fun, but definitely wait for the full release. Only had the patience to play one game through to victory (my first game)

The core gameplay / society mechanics are "buggy" enough that I'm not sure they are bugs versus flaws in the core implementation. Capturing new territories creates a completely disconnected essentially new game for you to manage. Really makes capturing territories a chore. Not sure why they don't just extent your property or be better tightly coupled. After creating 4 or so settlements from scratch in new territories I couldn't bear the thought of starting a new game to do it all over again.

Best to wait for the full release to see if they are addressed, especially if you aren't getting a discounted price

My favorite game of the year, it's an absolute blast.
The game is beautiful, very quick to pick up, and very challenging. The mechanics are simple to understand, and the game slowly introduces more opportunity for strategy via new levels, enemy types, and player perks.
It's complex enough to be rewarding and difficult, but not too much to be daunting.

I don't even play many tower defense games but I could not put this one down. At this price it's a no brainer!

Ships are completely useless. There is no space exploration. Inventory management horrible. Multiple fast travels and loading screens are REQUIRED to go anywhere. Vendors have no credits. Stealth is broken. Generated content is too similar and copy/pasted. We are in the year 2300 flying across the galaxy and every weapon in the game can be found in a shed in Arkansas today.
Huge bethesda fan but this is a hard pass

Too simple, and the later complex elements are honestly not fun
