An insanely average game, no idea why it has the rabid hype. Personally, I don't think it's worth the 60AUD. There is one gameplay loop. Pick a mission and shoot things. Hopefully that's all you like doing.

You will lose every bit of progress you have in a game when you crash. You will crash very often, crashes are very common. No reconnect.

Recent players are broken, not allowing you to report arsehole players.

Controls are uninutitive.

HUD sucks, gives you almost 0 information apart from which gun you have out, which causes you to fully deplete your mags, which then the game punishes you to slowly reload, wasting critical seconds in combat.
It is very difficult to kill confirm in the game, making you waste more ammo by mag dumping as you cannot risk the now headless bug suddenly making a last ditch effort to separate your head from your body.

Which then makes you try to either pay more attention to your ammo left in your mag, which the game punishes you in the form of KIA because you're trying to pay more attention to the terrible HUD/UI in the corner. Or you then waste ammo to avoid wasting milliseconds in combat.
Which then punishes you by having to call down supplies which is limited by time and squad mates not stealing ammo.

You are almost completely reliant on your squad unless you're perfect. See those two stalkers in the distance? Better hope you have enough firepower to take them out in 2 seconds flat, or they're on you, two shotting you. Best hope you have teammates around you paying attention.
So, you get punished and now you're dead - waiting for your squadmates to hopefully revive you as you tap your fingers waiting, waiting waiting.

Basically the game only punishes, no rewards.

And here we are 3 weeks into the launch and they have done nothing but failed to address the capacity issues, even using a P2P style solution, they still have failed to push enough capacity. Likely just cheaping out.

To top it all off, they're using nProtect, a ring0 "DRM/Anti Cheat" which is a security and privacy risk.

The game will waste your time. It will not respect your time. It's walking/running simulator 5000.
Everything about the game is eh, very mid. Nothing stands out, pacing is slow and clunky. Concepts are not explained, hidden behind things you have to Google and after you do, you yell out how was I supposed to even figure that out?

Boss designs are extreme hit or miss. Eg - Sentinels Keep.
Great fight, movement, dodging watching out for everything but the boss will spawn vacuum obs on you with no tell and no way of getting out of it. You WILL die.

Every now and again you get a good fight. But the fun still is not worth the frustration.

My advice, find something else for the money. This is probably worth around 30 bucks to begin considering it.

It's such a shame so much potential, squandered.

Pass on this one. No where near as good as the first.

Heavy reliance upon bullet sponge mechanics. Lots of one shot abilities, or close to it. The devs say they have one shot protection, but that negates one hit, with conditions. You'll blink and be dead, every single time.

Balance is way off. Easy mode on this is about the same as normal in RoR1.

I have spent 7 hours in this game and have nothing to show for it, whilst I have fully completed the previous one.

Again, if you're a fan of the first one, as I am - pass on this. Play RoR1 again.

Capcom has added more DRM, and a shady one at that to the game. Avoid like the plauge.

Until the combat is fixed, you will find the game nothing but frustrating. Block perfectly, or die.

Always always assume the attack will hit you, add attack distance of the enemies by about 7 CM.

If you want to be frustrated by the world's most unresponsive game control wise, this is it. Even the notorious NES era games with bad controls are more responsive than this.

Slicing and Dicing feels good. Shooting feels good. The core gameplay feels good.

Balance is still way off. Be prepared to face enemies that will nigh two shot you in 2 seconds.
Enemies will spawn out of thin air in front of you.
You can turn a corner and be facing 5 specials.
If you're a solo player, be prepared to be frustrated infinitely. Randoms have trouble at medium difficulty.
Crashes are common.
RNG Shop is frustrating. I may find heaps of staffs, but my sword is nothing but a bronze dagger at almost max level.
I believe that the average player will get bored fairly quickly with the current content offerings, however it is in beta at the moment.

Game needs likely 2 years more development.
At the moment, the only decent fun you might get out of it would be with a full squad of friends.
Could be great when the game fully releases.

If you want to get pvp'd from the very first time you play, play this. It's basically Rust style PVP, even in safe havens.
