You didn’t think I’d get serious, did you? Well I am I got a whole review down here let’s go.

Its difficult to begin even processing what I wanna say about this little 50 minute demo. Where do I start? What do I say about a game I’ve put 50 hours into speedrunning, bug hunting, and in general just experiencing? I’ve put 5 times more time into this 50 minute little one man indie game than outer worlds, an RPG. Do I talk about the over 1k strong discord server which has been a home for a massive group of misfits who are all bonded together by a general kinship and respect for one another? Or do I talk about the developer who literally @’d me 6 hours ago to tell me that star fetchers was about to hit 2k reviews.

In the month this little pilot has been out. In the three weeks I’ve been involved with it. I’ve become a part of a community, I’ve shared music, I’ve seen beautiful art, I’ve discussed the ins and outs of its gameplay mechanics and story and art design and sound design through and through with so many different wonderful people. I’ve made friends with people I never would have been given the opportunity to meet had I not pressed that play game button that’s right above me on this steam store page I’m writing this review on. Its weird to get romantic about a little demo buried on steam but in some ways, I think it deserves it.

To you, the reader who might have just randomly stumbled on this review looking for confirmation to play this free demo. To you I say this, do it. It’s not exactly a lot of your time and theres a 97% chance (based on user review score) that you will enjoy some of it. And who knows, maybe you’ll get the same thing out of it that I did.

To LK, the developer of this game, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for the time you have given me and the community I’ve become a part of. This little thing you’ve created in conjunction with controbuz has been a wonderful experience all around. And if you won’t give me a way to donate or pay money in any way for the hard work you’ve done making my month, let me at least say this.
