In my honest opinion, it bypasses the original Audiosurf, and not only by the way the visuals are handled.

One of the biggest factors that makes this game so well is the functionality of steam workshop and the multiple mods and skins these fans put in to make the game more enjoyable.

If you have played AS1, and are into rhythm games like these, I would definitely check this one out.
