Outcast - Second Contact is a remake of Outcast 1.1 with better graphics. The graphics make the game absolutely breathtaking compared to the old version but besides that there isn't a difference. No new quests, no new combat mechanics, no new items even the voices and dialogues are exactly the same as the old game. So unless it's for nostalgia sake, you might not be interested in getting this if you already have the old version.

For new people I'd definitly recommend this game. The game tells an amazing story and gives you many side quests to explore. The game is a mix of combat, puzzles and jumping. If it's your first time these puzzles can be quite challenging at times. The game rarely forces you to go for the main story and gives you a lot of freedom to do whatever you feel like doing.

I also have to give some praise to how smooth the game is. The game has been released for only a few days and it's completely possible to finish the game, all side quests as well as all steam achievements without any game breaking bugs (now how many times do you see that these days!)
