It's rare when I don't like a game. And this game falls into that category.
First I thought it looks good on gameplays, so it must be good. Nice tropical setting with Range Rovers, what could go wrong, right?
Oh boy, was I wrong... xD

My biggest problem with the game is the handling. It's so weird and so sensitive. I found I can only (barely) handle the car precisely with my One S Controller with the sensitivity way down. By way down I mean the 0.1 sensitivity region and lower. And even then it feels sensitive. And the whole driving mechanics are just odd.

The only Trackmania game I played before was Nations Forever and that game had an amazing handling. It wasn't super sensitive, but also sensitive enough to corner even the trickiest turns. It sticked to the road, but I could 've slide the car easily if I wanted to. My only problem with Nations Forever was the graphics.
With Lagoon, it's the exact opposite. Everything looks gorgeous, but the rest is annoying.

I bought it for 5,99€ on sale and for me even though it was cheap it wasn't worth it. The handling is so annoying that even if I got it for free I wouldn't play it. So for me it definitely smells like a refund.
That's just my opinion, but I think if anybody can master the weird handling then I recommend it, because it does have a lot of good stuff.

This is a really enjoyable game, though I haven't played much, but I like it as right now.
The only thing I miss is a FOV slider in the settings and the physics might feel a little bit heavy, but other than that it's good.

Edit: I played a little more and completed the game in 2 hours total...

Simply the best game ever in my opinion (Along with GTA V). I still remember when I was young and played this game on ps2.

Pros:

• Really good physics and handling in my opinion.
  
• Cars are really good, especially the supra.

Cons:

• Tends to microstutter sometimes.
  
• Controller support is horrible, or I'm just stupid to set it up properly. I tried to set up my xbox controller many times, but I failed. I can't shift with it no matter what I do. Triggers also doesn't work.
  
• Not many tracks
  
• Car names are reversed on the back of the car (wtf???)

I don't know why people complain about earning money in the game. I pretty much bought all cars in 2 hours... You just need to drift in circles for a while and you get a lot of money. You get 100 dollars for 6 sec continous drift and 500 for 10 sec + you also get money for the points. The port are perfect for doing this. I even almost maxed out every car, though I went a little bit far with a x400+ combo and earned around 40mil points... XD

I seriously want to like this game, but right now I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm gonna give it a positive, because I hope that it's gonna be better. It has a lot of potential, but it needs a lot of work.

Please do take into consideration that I got this game for free, so for me it was worth it, though I don't know if I would have the same opinion if I'd bought in on my own money!!!

• Multiplayer mod (Though it's not in the game, you have to download it)

• Doesn't give back the good feeling of the first game

It will remain one of my favorite games <3
