Changed was a game I didn't intend on finding. I hadn't been searching for games on the market for a while, but this one caught my eye.

Now I want to make this very clear, I am a HUGE ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I do have a bias towards this game because of the furry motif. However, I will try to fairly assess this game without having too much of my furry love pour out (I hope uwu).

Changed is a story-based puzzle game. You progress through a large laboratory tower after waking up in a chamber. You don't remember anything but you have an urge to go home. Early on you realize you're not entirely alone; as you are met with latex creatures who's only goal is to assimilate with your body. Avoiding danger (and saving as much as you can, thank me later), you'll pass scattered documents, papers, and photos revealing more of the story. I won't go any further into the story than this, because this game is best experienced going in blind.

There are very few characters in this game, at least, sentient characters. The world seems very small and you have a sense of aloneness throughout much of the game.
Now, the actual gameplay itself. For some it might take a bit to get adjusted to how the game is angled. Sometimes it may look like your character should be able to pass through an opening but won't be able to. For me, it was not a major issue and I got used to it very early on. The game allows you to choose between two modes: Easy and Normal. Easy mode is, well, easier, but prevents you from progressing past a certain point fairly early on. Normal mode is harder than Easy mode (who would've known) and allows you to properly progress through the game to the very end. This game is no joke, there are genuinely tough sections. You may get frusturated, but as someone who generally gets mad at games easily, I was fairly tame in my temper throughout. However, there is a fair amount of luck and RNG in the game concerning enemy movement. It's not so terrible that it's unplayable, but it may get frusturating from time to time. The game is puzzle oriented, using clues and mechanics throughout to progress. Because of this, looking up walkthroughs or Let's Plays can easily ruin the experience, so unless you are REALLY stuck on an area and you think you've looked everywhere, I recommend again to play this game completely blind.

The music in this game is beautiful. It's a nice chiptune arrangement that reminds me a lot of Undertale's music. There are parts of the game that lack music, however, and it makes those parts seem really bland. Maybe this was intentional to make you seem more alone, but I have no idea. It is kind of disappointing, because I will take any chance I can get to listen to more of that soundtrack.

The art style of this game is charming. It has an obvious MS-Paint vibe to it and I personally adore it. I haven't seen many games use this style, which caught my eye and intriguied me when I first stumbled upon Changed. It's so simple, yet so beautiful.

There are multiple endings in this game, three to be exact. It can be kind of annoying, as certain decisions you make throughout the game can ruin your chances of getting a certain ending. If you don't plan on looking up walkthroughs to see how to get these endings, I recommend saving on multiple files (there are four, use them).

Now, many people do say this game does get fetishy with its use of latex monsters and "transfurring." I don't personally mind them (and it is kind of hot owo") but I undertstand it's not for everyone. Seeing how you do experience those sequences very often, I will say that if it bothers you to an extreme degree to avoid this game. But, it really shouldn't have to prevent you from experiencing this beautiful game.

I give this game a 9.5/10. This game was DragonSnow's first creation, and I look forward to more games from him in the future. My main flaws with this game were just the lack of music in certain areas and achieving the endings. One last thing though, there is a "true ending" and yes, it did make me cry. Regardless, I recommend anyone who's reading this and on the nose about buying this game to totally check it out, it's WORTH every single cent.

This game is revolutionary. The simple yet addictive gameplay matched with easily recognizable and lovable characters makes the game pleasing in every sense of the word. The controls are fluent and easy to pick up and the pacing of unlocks is fair and makes for plenty of fun. On top of all of this, the developers recently added multiplayer mode. What more could you ask for in a game?

This game is unironically my favorite game of all time. The story is simple, characters are simple, and the main gimmick of flipping is - like the former two points - simple. But it's the simplicity of this game that amazes me with the amount of surprises and challenges it can still have with such simple gameplay. I've played and replayed this game for years, mainly on mobile devices when I was younger. If you're a fan of this game like I am, I recommend you check out the community made levels and another game by the name "Thomas was Alone," which is a game of similar likes.
