Horrible optimization, from 100-110 FPS with all graphics settings on Low on old Hunt, compared to 40-50 (if I'm lucky) in this new engine. This was one of my favorite games to play with friends, unfortunately cannot even play anymore since this update.

I only bought this because of nostalgia, I own the physical disc for PS1 along with Tomba! 2 and have replayed these games more times than any other game I've played.
This is a lazy, sloppy port of the original game, and sadly you would get a better experience for free with a modern emulator.
The development art in the Museum is great, but there is plenty more cut content that could have been interviewed about and covered in the museum, which really, the Museum is the only reason I purchased this game on Steam.
I played through the entire game with original soundtrack, partly because of the bugs with "remastered" audio being lazily overlayed over original audio, which causes issues with music starting at the loading screen, and looping issues which kill immersion, not to mention D-Pad being emulated as analog which messes with the game's movement in it's entirety.
The game itself is very enjoyable and an absolute classic, it's just sad to see after waiting ever since my childhood, that the "remake" is essentially a cashgrab capitalizing on nostalgia.
Ever since I was a young child I've hoped for a Tomba! 3, and played both games once a year or more, but really this is nothing more than a port of the original game, with more issues than you would find on an open source emulator for free.

I hope the Tomba! 2 port is treated better, as that is the one I have the most nostalgia for, but this port has not given me much hope. I've always dreamed of a Tomba! 3 one day, but if this is how this amazingly unique title is going to be treated, I think it's best to leave it be, as Limited Run Games is not adding much beyond what was already there in the originals.
