Better than Overwatch in every way. This is what Overwatch 2 should have been instead of promising PvE that never came.

For a game that just released, it's well optimized. Even on low graphics on my laptop everything runs smooth and is clear. I tested it on my desktop as well before upgrading my drivers and only had one crash. I can appreciate that there's already troubleshooting guides available for those who might not know how to fix the issue. After updating drivers there's been zero performance issues using my eight year old graphics card.

Feels like 3D Stardew Valley without the charm. Very disappointing since I was looking forward to playing the game. It seems like there's a lot of things to do, but they aren't fleshed out or polished. Very much quantity over quality. The large gaps in background music doesn't help with the empty feeling. If you get it on sale it's a decent time waster. I couldn't justify buying it for full price.

Just the type of game I've been craving! You're able to go completely at your own pace and I can appreciate that. There's no timers on anything and the only time I've encountered a warning side quests may disappear was while continuing the main quest. But the warning is very clear and shows you who might still have things for you to do.

Overall beautiful with the art style. I started off playing on my laptop and am happy to say the graphics still look great at medium quality with no hiccups. I can't wait to try it on my desktop as well to see the difference.

Bonus for the LGBTQ representation!

Developer used AI generation in the art for their newest title, My Time at Evershine. A shame since I enjoyed My Time at Portia and wanted to buy Sandrock as well. I will no longer be supporting or recommending the series to anyone.

Absolutely amazing at creative a moving narrative without text.

The early levels are wonderfully paced and enjoyable.

The last level is a bit of a drag though. There's only one mechanic in the game and by the end it gets repetitive. If it was made into two separate levels or there were less rooms it would have worked better.

Love the story and characters. Hate the combat. It doesn't feel like there's a reason to be stuck in a needlessly long battle where half your attacks miss and all of the enemy's attacks land. Makes me avoid combat at all costs.

Not very engaging. I'd be very disappointed if I paid full price instead of getting it from a bundle.

I enjoyed playing and even recommended the game to some friends early in my playthrough, but the closer I got to the end the more I lost interest. Maybe I'm just dumb, but the item interactions made sense at first then started to go more into the typical "here's this random item you can pick up have fun" point & click trope. Then the cliffhanger ending was really disappointing. It felt like I had wasted my time for an unfinished story.

There were so many good things going on that I'm sad I can't give it a thumbs up :( The plot honestly had me going and wanting to complete each puzzle to learn more. Getting to those big plot points felt like a well earned reward, But with how tedious the latter half of the game was along with the ending it just ruined it for me.
