This and Crash Time 2 - pearls among low-budget games. For the time they were made graphics were impressive and damage models are top-notch even today. The story is mid but the game is worth picking up for those few bucks if you like watching cars get compacted like tin cans.

Racing game devs should take notes from Synetic on how to make good games on a tight budget.

Payer First Games had a full year to fix the issues with the game and make it more playable.
Instead, they smoked crack.
Let me list all the issues that the game has right now:

- Terrible monetization, four different currencies (one is for perks, one is for characters, why??) You want all characters? Pay several hundred dollars, or max out 6 characters and grind battlepass to unlock ONE. Back in beta you just played the game for several hours and you could easily buy a new one. Now its not even feasible.

- The "world-class" netcode Tony bragged about is so, so, so much worse than what was in the beta. I'm not even joking. Matches disconnect, crash and desync right at the start or in the middle. ALL THE TIME. Despite me having a very fast fiber optic connection and the internet wire plugged in, it just doesn't work. PFG is so adamant about their netcode they connect you to players in another side of the world and think it won't break.

- They made the game slower, characters like 3 times bigger, and maps smaller. However, there's still no hit priority in this game, which was one of major issues in the beta. It again only matters which character's hurtbox is bigger and appears faster. This, combined with what i mentioned before made characters like Harley, Bugs or Iron Giant even stronger, despite being ridiculously OP back in the day. Characters that didn't have insta-hurtboxes are simply garbage now. Then, they added Banana Guard who has instant attacks with insane reach. Color me surprised.

- Singleplayer is trash. It feels like a chore to play, and you cannot simply 100% without an online friend (really?). It's also monetized for some god awful reason. It's like WB came to PFG and wanted to turn their game into a cash machine to cover all losses their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ developing caused.

In summary, game is broken, characters suck, there's extreme amounts of unecessary grind, netcode is possibly the worst in history of gaming, and the game will die soon. I'll just be waiting for Open Delta of Multiversus 2 coming soon in October 2025.

This is one of those games, where after playing for 252 hours you can only say that you played "a little bit" of it.
