Customers ask for cheeseburgers without the cheese. Accurate customer service experience 10/10

But for real, the gameplay is really simple and addicting. The co-op works great too! Easily one of my favorite cooking games now.

I discovered the game two days before release and knew I had to get it. I'm someone who enjoys the mechanics of the Pokemon TCG but never got into it consistently. I'm proud to say that the game surpassed my expectations. Millennium Blades is one of my favorite board games because it replicates TCGs while being something you only need to buy once, so I really like the feedback loops and whatnot of them. I will admit it took me a few runs to really understand what was going on, but once I did I found the gameplay loop to be really rewarding and satisfying. I'm not really good at reviews, but I'd say if you enjoy TCGs but don't like how expensive they are, this is a great (albeit sometimes simple) way to get a similar experience.

Man I have over 600 hours in the game and I'm not even close to finishing repentance. If I had to choose only one game I could play for the rest of my life this would be a strong contender. It's painful losing again but the the highs of winning makes it all worth it. I've been playing Isaac since 2011 or 2012 (the original of course) and upgraded to rebirth about a year after it released, as well as 100%ing base game, afterbirth, and afterbirth+, so needless to say, I have extensive history with the game and thus am very biased. It's a masterful roguelike, the design is incredibly tight, the music is godly (teehee), and the art goes perfectly with the tone of the game. I can't recommend it enough if you're interested in roguelikes. Just know that it's incredibly, incredibly addicting, as you can see by the hours all these reviewers have listed on them, haha.

Don't expect a long game with a super deep story or exploration, but you can expect an incredibly tense masterpiece of a boss fight gauntlet. The music perfectly captures the bosses' personalities, the voice acting for all three dubs (English, Japanese, and French) are excellent, Takashi Okazaki's character designs are wonderful, and the combat is exceptionally polished. I made this review seeing a few reviews call the combat heavily scripted, which I disagree with. Yes, bosses will have clearly defined move sets per phase, but it's possible to play a lot more aggressively than the bosses' telegraphing would imply, a lot of these options being deliberate. I recommend looking that the developer's speedrunning guide on their YouTube channel. This game is very much easy to learn but difficult to master. I would consider myself "good at the game" since I've gotten all achievements and being able to beat the game in an hour now, but speedrunners can beat the game in half the time I can. If you love games that are like an instrument in that learning to play and master it is a large part of the experience, then this is absolutely the game for you.

Honestly one of my favorite roguelikes ever. The combat is incredibly fluid in such a way I never get bored playing it. Rolling, parrying, and attacking with all sorts of weapons feel very well tuned, with i-frames and hit boxes occurring exactly when and where you would expect, with some generosity. I never feel like I died unfairly. There also don't seem to be many broken combos like in games like Binding of Isaac, which makes Dead Cells feel a lot more skill-based than other roguelikes I've played. Highly recommended.

this game is like a game you would find on your grandmother's windows vista computer and i mean that in the coziest and most calming way possible. it is just a nice game to unwind to and the devs did a good job.

For the record, this isn't my review. I Steam shared with someone and they wanted to write a review, but I share many of the same sentiments described below:

This game is a masterpiece! After receiving a hearty recommendation, I knew I had to check it out! It is a mystery game that doesn't shy away from the more brutal aspects of death and doesn't hold your hand at all. The game can be frustrating if you hit a wall, but I assure you, if you take a break for a few days and come back, the pieces will start to come together once again. I can't recommend this game enough. It makes you feel like the smartest person on earth when you tie together pieces of evidence. The high of confirming fates is truly like no other! Play if you want to exercise your brain!

((If you get easily motion sick, I would recommend putting a small piece of tape or some other similar material on your screen as the game does not use a reticle))

When I first bought this game, I played it for maybe 20 hours and decided that it really wasn't for me, but after learning more about how the game works, I definitely fell in love with it and it currently stands as one of my favorite games of all time.

That said, I still do not believe this game is for everyone, especially considering all of the complaints about the RNG. Lots of players (myself included, sometimes) will say that you can mitigate the bad parts of the RNG by planning ahead well enough, though admittedly it does take lots of trial and error to learn the ins and outs of the game, which can definitely lead to lots moments where you just think "wow, ♥♥♥♥ this game". I 100% get it if someone gives up on it because of them getting impatient.

What I love about Darkest Dungeon is the art, the lore, the fantastic turn based combat and characters, and of course, the narrator. The art and music has an incredibly unique style that really works well for the tone the lore sets, and Wayne June's narration is really the icing on the cake. Experimenting with team compositions and character skills is always interesting and I'm still learning new things after 150+ hours.

The community is live and well, with one of the neatest modding communities I've seen and lots of people willing to help newcomers.

The game is tough to recommend to everyone, especially those who dislike turn based combat or punishing gameplay, but I fell in love with it after giving it a second try and reading up on some of the mechanics more (notably stress, accuracy, and speed), and honestly, I'd suggest other beginners to do the same.

I got this DLC on the first day it was out, meaning I got it for free. Just putting that out there since I'm probably a bit biased towards it.

A Hat in Time - Seal the Deal is great in my opinion, though I feel like the store page is misleading. I say this because chapter 6, The Arctic Cruise, is short compared to the other chapters, only offering 3 acts and 2 time rifts. This doesn't mean it's bad, however, because the maps themselves are huge and a joy to explore. The platforming is fun, the music is charming, and the characters were as cute as ever. My only problem with the chapter is that I think that I got a little bit of motion sickness or something from the last act, though I doubt most people would have a problem with it.

Death Wish makes makes up for the length of the new chapter. It's the added hard mode of the game that modifies past levels and gives them bonus objectives (think of it like a new game+). I've noticed that lots of people say that this mode is probably only fun to speedrunners due to its difficulty, but I'm still having a blast with it as someone who plays the game more casually. I personally gradually seeing myself optimize my movement and being challenged to finish entire levels in completely different ways (i.e. Playing She Came from Outer Space only being allowed to jump 15 times or less or needing to worry about an added coolness level in Heating Up Mafia Town). If the difficulty of it rubs you the wrong way, you are given an easier version of the challenge at the cost of pons. The only missions here that I haven't liked so far are the timed time rifts.

Ultimately, I'd recommend this game for Death Wish alone, but I recognize that most people would want it for the new chapter instead. If you're going to get it for Arctic Cruise alone, know that I managed to finish it in a couple of hours or so. Death Wish, on the otherhand, I'm still working on since the DLCs release. Either way, I'm very satisfied with what I've gotten.

I got this game shortly after it was released and got every achievement within 2 days. After anticipating this game for years, it was absolutely worth it for it's clean controls, lovable characters, memorable music, and overall charm. If you love 3D platformers or are simply interested in the genre, I recommend this game. Only downsides are the length (I reached the last level in 8 hours, and beat every level in about 14) which can be remedied by an update that'll bring 2 more worlds and the Steam workshop. The art style may not be for everyone either; small things like facial expressions can seem out of place and seem awkward or the simple shell-shaded art style as a whole may put people off. Though, despite those, I wholeheartedly recommend this game. It's a fantastic love letter to platformers from the Gamecube era.
