The game itself is great.
  • The game flavor is charming and optimistic with great art.
  • Each Hero feels unique. No huge overlaps.
  • The game engine is fast and responsive. Netcode is decent.
  • There is thoughtful consideration from devs put into balancing, even if they don't get it right sometimes.

However Activision Blizzard is not a company who deserves your money. The Battle Pass is good value if you know you will complete it. Beyond that it's best as Free To Play.

This game is difficult and offers many varieties of difficulty. But it's worth playing through to the end. I say you should do whatever it takes. Use the wiki. No shame.

A very fun and charming city builder/tower defense game that literally falls short as the game length is between 5 and 8 hours.

Pros:
  • Easy to pick up and learn
  • Charming design and detail
  • Well paced technology progression
  • Fun dynamic of managing the city above and the mines below
Neutral:
  • Not very difficult or challenging
Cons:
  • Extremely short for the price. I would expect 2 or 3 more chapters of similar length.
  • Little replay-ability. The game offers many specific upgrades and power ups but they don't make a meaningful difference how you use them.

If you are nostalgiac for Runescape but didn't like the mindless grinding, this game is for you. If you like really good idle games, this is also for you.
It recently released a $5 DLC that easily adds another 1000hrs of content. Insane value.
The combat sets it apart from other idles and feels like it's own game but it works seamlessly with the rest of the non-combat skills.
It's the only idle game I've ever played for more than a month.

Souls-like meets Prince of Persia in a Star Wars universe. It's Unreal Engine 4 and has standard AAA polish. From Souls we have Bonfires, Lose XP since last level on death, Enemies respawn on death, Damage last enemy to pick up lost xp. The Flask/Healing item system. The level design and enemies are also inspired by Souls, you'll find obvious references.
Prince of Persia regards the environmental gameplay. The are many "jumping" and parkour sections in the game. 80% of them are not challenging but they mix up the way you travel around the levels and they don't feel out of place and are not always obvious.

Pros:

Beautiful Environments. This game has some great views and I find myself often enjoying the small details.

Circular Level Design. Similar to Souls games, the levels are full of shortcuts and paths that link back up. This is important because you will be backtracking a lot in this game. It's metroidvania style upgrades that unlock new areas.

Collectibles. The collectibles are handled in a way that doesn't feel super tedious. Every collectible is worth at least a small amount of XP. The game also puts rewards before a section that is blocked from progression due to upgrades. This makes you feel like you're not constantly wasting your time when you have to backtrack.

The Holomap. If you have played DOOM 2016 this map will look familiar. This one does not pause the game but is a usable function on your companion, lore friendly. It is very easy to look at and understand at a glance. It does not overwhelm you with information like many maps. You can see exactly where you have not explored, and whether you have the current power to explore it.

Unreal Engine 4 Physics. If you're gonna make a satisfying Jedi adventure game, you need some good physics models for Force powers. Unreal Engine 4 provides that. It also provides hilarious bugs and corpse launches, which I include as a positive.

Neutral:

Accessible Souls Combat. The combat won't challenge Souls veterans but it also might be too frustrating for new players. This is personal preference.

Cons:

Frame drops. My game averages 70fps on High but frequently dips down into the 40's in certain areas. Other times the game drops to 1 fps and basically freezes. In general the game runs decently but the frame drops are consistent and seem common among users.

Game Crashes. I crashed dozens of times over my first 20 hour run. I hope future updates improve this.

Cosmetic collectibles only. All of the collectible items have no impact on gameplay. Changing a Lightsaber's Emitter has no effect on it's stats, for example. It feels odd to have such a deep cosmetic customization system for a game with no multiplayer interaction.

If you played Chivalry Medieval Warfare and enjoyed it, you will probably like this game. If you are new, this game is Multiplayer First-Person Melee carnage at it's finest. Lots of weapons and playstyles to choose from. Sizable learning learning curve in the beginning. You'll get your ass kicked by veterans for awhile as you learn a weapon or strategy to succeed. Mordhau serves as a good background game. If you try to marathon the game you will get frustrated. You see people in chat flaming and being racist, they have been playing too long and need a break.
