Played the game for 20 minutes and it ate through all my RAM. Had to turn off my computer to let the volatile memory clear out before I could operate my PC with any reliability.

The quintessential hardcore survival city builder. Imagine Sim City, but instead of being the one that turns on disasters after you've gotten bored, someone else has and is actively trying to destroy your city while you build it.

If you like Frostpunk you'll enjoy this game. Punishingly difficult.

A worthwhile successor to CoH2.

If you liked the Dead Space series, you'll probably like this.

Abandonware. They'll release a 1.0 so that they're not penalized by Steam, but otherwise this game is dead.

The fast travel bug prevents me from completing the game.

Unlike Starcraft or Command & Conquer, Company of Heroes is much more focused on small unit tactics rather than logistics. There's just as much micro-management, but it's oriented on keeping your units alive, rather than overwhelming your opponents. The game supports playing cooperatively with up to 3 other friends, which I've enjoyed extensively.

Pure nostalgia.

Valheim is a cross between Dark Souls and Minecraft. A punishingly difficult crafting and exploration game.
