Leaving a negative review until they figure out how to remove 'rate the game' popups for paying customers. Imagine a service where you pay and the ads still don't stop. Unacceptable.

The game is in a sad state atm. Bots are running rampant. Economy in ruins. Game breaking bugs go unfixed for weeks. All evidence points to a quick cash grab from progression focused players.

Incredibly fun, and the most polished early access game out there. Patches are pushed out daily to fix bugs. Best game of 2020 so far.

Game runs really well. No crashes, no lag even with 250 units x 8 players. Campaigns are well made, better than the original game. Unit collision is an issue on AI skirmish maps. Computer controlled units can get stuck in base, sandwiched between buildings.

Best Total War game out so far, adds RPG style gearing system to the generals. This allows them to equip basic to legendary gear, which can significantly impact survivability and combat prowess. Well-crafted and detailed city and wilderness landscapes, however the overland map could use more polishing to smooth out the jagged edges common near rivers and the coast. Runs surprisingly well with minimal crashes but like most total war games, will require a powerful system to fully experience high definition.

No new content, massive memory leaks, hackers, bugs, exploits, dead servers and non english chat.

This game is a really polished standalone. I didn't need to play the previous games to understand the storyline, game does a good job of explaining everything. The combat is fun and characters are funny and cute. This isn't a difficult game so I wouldn't recommend using the powerful dlc gear from the start. Game is definately worth $50, I got it for $30 which is super awesome. PC controls can be a bit awkward but I got used to it quick. With that said, im going back to beat up some baddies and jump like a neppin' kangaroo.
