If you bring up politics I will spend hours talking your ear off about the eugenicist history and present of the united states, the way conservatism is a form of liberalism, the way people vaguely labeling themselves as "progressives" can be harmful to actual progress, the way the prison industrial complex serves the interests of wealthy people first and foremost, the way gentrification ♥♥♥♥♥ over communities of color, the inherently racist and ableist institution of policing, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ways people claim to combat climate change while supporting policies like banning plastic straws, which has a negligible impact on the climate but a *massive* impact on the lives of many disabled people, who could aspirate liquid into their lungs and die as a result of not having access to what was originally intended as a medical device

But, perhaps most importantly: I'll tell you the way I see out of it all, and about the world I believe we could make if we worked towards it.
