Another charming little budget 3D platformer by the same person who made (sorry, "found") Toree 3D, and made Macbat 64. This one feels a little less polished than Toree 3D. I ran into some semi-annoying glitches during my short playtime with Toree 2 and I never ran into such glitches with Toree 3D. However, there was nothing game-breaking, and Toree 2 feels even more fluid than Toree 3D. The game can be completed in under 30 minutes. I'd say it's probably even shorter than Toree 3D. For $0.99 though, you really can't go wrong with Toree 2. It's better (and cheaper) than certain other big-budget 3D platformers I've played. I can easily say I recommend Toree 2. If you enjoyed your time with Toree 3D then you'll enjoy your time with Toree 2. I'm curious to see where the developer takes this series in the future.

Great co-op game. Even after all these years, I still find myself coming back to it.

What's here is good for $0.99. Toree 3D is very short (I've heard of people beating it in around 20 minutes without even trying to speedrun it or even play it fast) but what's here is very good. The platforming feels good, the colors are nice, music is surprisingly good for such a cheap game, and the levels all feel good to play. There's partial controller support for those of you who enjoy using a gamepad for these sorts of games, and of course there's keyboard and mouse support too. This should easily run without any problems on any gaming hardware released in the past 5 years. Worth a buy at full price.

Developers upgraded everyone from Skullgirls and Skullgirls Encore up to the Skullgirls 2nd Encore version. This includes all the DLC characters released with each iteration of the game. I don't know anything about the new character, Annie, but I know I support good developers. Developers who show love, care, and passion toward their projects. Developers who continue to support their projects nearly eight years after the initial launch.

Save the dogs.

Doctor Who: The Runaway is a charming, short little cinematic adventure. It's free, has a charming art style, good writing, and I didn't have any performance issues with my three playthroughs of it. I highly recommend at least giving this a try even if you aren't a particularly big fan of Doctor Who.

Gloomy Eyes is an absolutely beautiful cinematic experience built from the ground up for virtual reality. It uses the Unity engine, but don't let that deter you. The art is gorgeous (I've seen some people liken it to The Nightmare Before Christmas, and honestly, that really isn't far off). The narration is superb. Easily some of the best narration in VR or otherwise. Gloomy Eyes is arguably one of the most atmospheric experiences available in VR. The animation and story are both very charming and very high quality. I experienced this with the Valve Index VR Kit and I had zero technical or performance issues in my time with Gloomy Eyes. It may be a bit expensive at $8.99 USD with a run-time of about 30 minutes, However, I genuinely think this is well worth the money at its current -50% sale price of $4.49 USD.

Don't let my Steam playtime in this game fool you. I bought a physical copy when it first came out, and I've easily put hundreds of hours into the vanilla version of the Sims 3 alone. The Sims 3 is an absolutely fantastic entry in the Sims series. I would even argue that it's the best one in the series. I don't like or support EA or companies like them, but that still can't take away from the fact that this is a brilliant simulation game. I've spent too many hours to count just building houses in this game. The building and customization are superb. It has great mod support and a great modding community. The actual life simulation is far better than in the previous entries (although I'd give the points to the Sims 4 for best life simulation). This is absolutely worth your money. I just recommend waiting for a sale considering how old this game is, and also taking into account the fact that the Sims 4 is out and has been out since 2014.

Note: I purchased Marvel's Avengers during the 2020 Steam Autumn Sale for $29.99, and I still feel ripped off.

Marvel's Avengers is a game that suffers from random crashes, frequent glitches and bugs that require reloading the game to be fixed (e.g. unresponsive controls or inputs just not working, camera looking wherever it wants to look, etc.), and of course missing content on PC (Spiderman being exclusive to PlayStation). All of that is just for the single-player/campaign portion of the game. Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this title. Please, please save your money and spend it on something with some love and care put into it. Marvel's Avengers is not worth your time or money in its current state. Especially not at the ludicrous full price of $59.99.
