I don't understand the negative reviews. They made me hesitate to buy the game but I went for it thinking I could ask for a refund if it was not the case. Man, I don't regret it one second. In fact, I find much of the negative feedback to be inaccurate or even false.

This game adds a lot of depth in the classic Total War Gameplay. I've played them all since Rome 1 and they finally found a remedy to many of the "meh" of TW. Food, War Fervor and recruitment systems are really nice: they prevent much of the "WTF" moments of solo campaigns and they make you think twice. With the Family Trees, Story events and the Crusader King-like plotting capabilities, the campaign is really fun to play.

Go ahead, try the game. The first hour is enough to realize how misleading negative reviews are. And if you happen not to like it, you can still ask for the refund :)

A must have

Best 15€ spent in my life

Great game. Best one line description: "Mount and Blade but more fluid, more beautiful, better animation and better gameplay". Those massive battles are just breath-taking and it's all fluid. Never exeperienced that in M&B.

The combat system relies on a chambering / counter-chambering system. Holding left mouse button makes you "chamber" your attack. Moving the mouse while holding the button makes you change your stance. Releasing the button releases the blow. Chambering is also your parry stance. You have to observe your opponent and adjust your stance to parry his attack. Check some gaemplay videos if you can.

It looks great and it's pretty instinctive. It gives very fluid combat where skill, timing and footwork is important. SOmetimes, you exchange parries and riposts during 1 min without a single drop of blood ... and then suddenly, you hit that one mighty blow in the head because of a nimble feint and your opponent drops dead. Delightful.

Oh and btw, there is an "epic" gamemode. It consists in a strategic map in which clans fights for strongholds in organized battles, recruit players to fight for them, build stuff with resources. Looks cools, arrives in 6 days apparently.

Oh and did I mention this uber-cool gear system? All those weapons to unlock ... :D

10/10 would recommend. Support the devs ;)

This is a great game. I'd recommand it to anybody who liked the previous games.

Quick note over the optimisation : Even if the game seems locked to 30 fps, for the moment, it is really not that awful. Usually, low framerate give me headache but here, I have no problem. I encountered no freeze. We are talking about a smooth 30fps. And let's be honest : Gotham has never been so beautiful. I'm playing with a Nvidia GTX770 in high (without the "nvidia Gameworks" option activated) on a 1080p screen and it looks gorgeous.

The game in itself is very fun to play. Batman is even more powerful, the batmobile feels soooooo nice to drive and all our favourite vilains are there. The batmobile really brings something to the game, it is really useful but not overpowered.

it is not a very well written recommandation. I just want to raise the global evaluation of the game. It is one of the best game I've played this year. I don't understand why people are so mad about this game (Assassin's Creed Unity, for example, deserves the hate but not this Batman game, it is perfectly playable !)

In two words : try it ;)

Amazing game. For now, it's only in beta. Nevertheless, in this current state, Heroes and Generals can compete easily with big productions like Battlefield... except I actually prefer H&G ! Good job Reto-Moto :D

Jeu fantastique. Il n'est qu'en beta mais il rivalise sans souci avec toutes les grosses productions actuelles. J'ai vraiment un coup de coeur pour ce jeu, le gameplay est vraiment intéressant (mention spéciale pour le feeling avec les armes). Bien joué aux devs ;)
