This game is exactly what the synopsis says. The artwork, the environment, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, the sense of loneliness and exploration. It's all really well done and makes this one of the most immersive games I've played. One thing alone however, stops me from giving this an amazing recommendation and a 10/10.

That is, as probably most other people have said...Checkpoints! It really, really needs more of them. Because you will die a lot, from mistimed/misclicked jumps, to falling off a ledge, to taking the wrong route (as it's really not obvious sometimes where you need to go). In one area I had to complete the same puzzle 6 times in a row, to then keep dying afterwards because of a confusing gameplay mechanic The light/block puzzle followed by the fan that glides you up...That Fan!!! . I came close to turning the game off out of sheer frustration, and that is something I never thought I'd do with a game this beautiful, as the world is so compelling and drives you onward to discover more.

So I will recommend this game, because while some parts of the game you will have to redo several times, in the end it usually pays off and is worth the hassle of retrying to see more of the world. But be prepared to test your patience to the limit on certain areas.

So at the moment, as this game stands, I'm giving it a 7/10. But with better spaced out checkpoints I could easily give this a 10/10
