This game is amazing.

It is the perfect mix of chill base builder, chaotic boss battles, and engaging exploration.

Varied skill trees, nice different environments, cute pets, great with friends... what more do you want.

Incredibly faithful remake.

Looks exactly as you remember it. Then you press F1 and realise what it actually looked like.

Mechanically the same, so yes that means tank controls - modern controls are an option, but the game's designed for tank controls. It's from the 90's, you take the bad with the good. But they work amazingly as they were intentional.

If you wanted to experience some of the best platformers of all time, and importantly, play the DLC which wasn't on all platforms or available before, this is how to do it.

Really neat little noir detective style game.

Well written, some interesting paths and consequences of actions, so even the 4 hours run time can be increased by trying the other options. (And to those not recommending it because its short - it literally says 3 to 6 hours in the blurb.)

Good level of puzzle - not too easy, not too hard. Nothing you'll be stuck on too long, but enough to feel you've achieved something.

£20/$25 may be a bit steep - mainly because people may not want to do more than one run - but if it goes on sale it's absolutely worth it. (I'd say it's worth it anyway, but if your budget is tight wait for a sale.) Just for the unique vibes alone, very little scratches this itch.

Just play it. Seriously.

The game is carried by its characters and writing so even if you don't think you'll like the setting, give it a shot, because it's amazing. But the gameplay is great too, environments, voice acting, animations... just all of it on top of that is amazing.

10/10... if they fix some of the remaining bugs towards the end, which most already have.

The gameplay isn't actually as slow as the trailers made out - that was one thing putting me off. It's simple, but... fun. It's hard to put a word to or describe it, but it just... works. It's not complex, it's not bloated with customiseable features. It's just... go get em. Dead or alive they're coming with you. No bs.

But the thing that really surprised me is the effort that's gone in to other areas of the game.

I just walked past a cat pushing a bucket off a bit of scaffolding. That didn't need to be there. But it was. The attention to detail in environments really isn't something people are mentioning but it's great.

The humanising elements of Robocop, and him remembering he's Murphy, are done very well indeed. It's hard to do it justice in quick words.

And it has an overall vibe and charm from all of that that just makes it... great. You can tell this is made by those who loved the franchise/concept.

It seems to be well optimised for me too - running it on quite high settings on a 1080, which I did not expect from AA jank.

But, on the jank, a few things to note. The lip sync is a bit off, the voice acting is good but occasionally terrible, and for instance the very first guy you see has his arm clipping through an AUG. If you've played through the 360 era you've seen worse. I've had a crash or two too, and there's no manual save feature to be sure you're good.

But otherwise? Genuinely a fantastic and surprisingly good game. It's one of those games where it's greater than the sum of its parts. It just all... works.

Maybe wait for it on sale, and see if you can buy it for a dollar. It's sure worth a lot more.

Doesn't really deserved to be review bombed like it has.

The game is free.

The game can be fun.

There's no other game I can think of really like it.

The downsides are it can be grindy and to get much you'll need to pay, and that required paying Blizzard, but like... it's free. What did people expect.

Just pick it up, have some fun in Quick play/arcade where people are far less toxic, and ignore the haters.

This game is beautiful.

Its atmosphere, its world, its voice acting, its characters... none of this should be possible when you're just a delivery boy (or, girl) in a small vehicle, driving around all the time.

But they nail it. It's engaging, has happy moments, sad moments, deep moments, and is a perfect entry in to the cyberpunk/dystopic genre. Very bladerunner vibes.

Gameplay wise it's relatively simple, you just drive around or walk around. Interact, leave, go back to the car. But what you see, hear, and learn as you go through is the key bit.

So as long as you're only looking for a chill gameplay experience and nothing mind blowing, but want a well made world and story, this is for you. It also goes on sale very regularly. One of the best £7 games I ever bought.

Nails the boomer shooter looks but with modern graphics and effects, unlike many.

Sound design of weapons is top notch.

Environments are well designed aesthetically. But can be very maze like and confusing.

Re-use of some stronger enemies gets a bit eh.

Lack of ammo on harder difficulties can just be a PITA.

Hard to tell when you're being damaged lightly, or heavily, leading to quick deaths if you're not paying attention.

Overall, fun game, would recommend, especially on sale.

Great aesthetic, not too hard, but not too easy, really neat puzzler to kill a few hours.

Just have notepad or paint next to you as some of the later things mean remembering a lot of numbers.
