Could of been a great game if better developers got hold of it, great idea, great mechanics, great audio but-

-everything else just lets it down

poor execution,
bad graphics/texture/character models
bad ai,
no singleplayer,
no playerbase,
no games...

its dead...

this game is amazing, hater are going to hate, but this runs fine, yes the quests are not intuitive, but they have a guide made with locations so its easy to to sort it out. Enemies are fine, you just got to learn how to recon an area, pick your shots etc. The start of the game is hard as you need to level up and get better loot just like all games but when you have a team of 2,3,4 it is much easier, get some friends and play the game properly instead of complaining you cant lone wolf a teamplay game. Played for 2 weeks, Lvl 11 and addicted, the community is also so helpful and generous, in game trading money, gear and guns at the bases it fun too.

Great game with solid mechanics and interesting learning about terraforming (whether it is accurate or not).

BUT - I think the game needs new planets added as DLC periodically ASAP though as in all honesty it is really easy, in 3 days we are already about to do Breathable Atmosphere since purchase, and explored all the wrecks accept the volcano one. So its not long till it will be over and there will be nothing left to do.

Maybe a new planet every 6 months, to correspond with holidays (summer and xmas)?

All the cry babies on here are just poor or moody old men, it was 60 on release, then 40, then 26, then 10 - or 15 with Deluxe content, so in the end I got 106GB, 18 new routes + 34 new locomotives and all my old DLC upgraded to TSW4 particle engine for less then my usual Burger King meal.

Go cry somewhere else, if you dont want it, dont buy it, simple. (all the weirdos keep the game and still play it so just like to moan for the sake of moaning). Also every year I seem to get 3 routes for free anyway, currently to start 2024 its the Peninsula Corridor from TSW2 and its great. Intelligence is great, go get some.

I cant say I do not recommend this game, with the hours I have of course I do, its a great game that any fan of tactical shooters should own in their Steam library. But...

In my opinion the 1.0 update really ruined the game for me compared to how it was in EA, its now obsessed with single player and the AI, not realising that more people played in multiplayer and used it as a sandbox to be good SWAT teams and practice real RoE.

Gone is everything that made the game customisable in mission and gameplay and now there is one way to play the map and that is it. No bomb threat, raid, barricaded suspect, priority shooter modes for multiple maps. No different versions and perspectives of a map for hotel or 213 park homes.

I now feel I have less to do then before it was 1.0, not more...

Thought it was going to be realistic SWAT on Terrorist realistic PVP action at last, what it ended up turning into was another COD gadget gayfest full of neeks and kids.

No tactics, breaching, teamwork or realism, bad gunplay, decade old graphics and nothing like chart topping last previous R6 games, a real pity. I have owned it 10 years and played it less then 100 hours, its that bad...

As a new game for £60 it was bad, nothing new except the handling model, one track, and campaign. Just re-branded F1 22 and put a new price on it. But 4 months later for £20 it is perfect! If you bought 22 this was not enough new to warrant the price tag, but now it is, at 2/3rds off.

Not worth buying games on day 1 ever again, just one big complete rip off.

thought i would come back and have some fun after 5 years, just get insulted constantly by children, horrible community with no sense of new players even when specifically selecting to matchmake in games for new players. ridiculous, people report with no policing so new players get stuck with red marks for not knowing characters. ridiculous.

This was one of those Early Access wastes of money, i gave it a year, bought it for friends, tried to play it as much as a i could, but you couldnt no one wanted to it was broken and janky from day 1 but we hoped it would improve.

I only less then 20 hours on this, Ready or Not I have over 500, SAWT4 I have over 1000, if this was good I would have been playing it hence you can see I love SWAT games. It was not Good.

The playerbase quickly died, the maps were never finished and still have broken or unrendered areas, they added a really crappy dog mode thing, they tried to fix their janky suspect AI and add SWAT AI but just couldnt as they are subpar developers. So now you have inferior devs, with an inferior product, that are still trying to release into 1.0, even though everyone else who started their games after them - finished their games before them.


Save your money, go search Ready Or Not instead, its everything this game was trying to be, RoN suddenly came along and created their game and did everything better - that it now makes this game hugely inferior.

not as good as f1 2020 i would skip it if you own 2020 already
