Fun platform. Not necessarily a game per se, but fantastic at being able to play board games and tabletop games with friends.

Really simple system that stays rewarding even after hours. Every ship can generate great stories, and wonderful inane solutions. And when everything clicks into place and you jump around bending time to your will as you clear an entire pirate frigate in a matter of seconds is stupidly satisfying.

The play timer is a dirty lie. I've played this for hundreds of hours, across probably a dozen computes and at least half as many consoles.
Still the pinnacle of FPS design for me, and my personal favorite game of all time. Everything from the sound design, level layouts, to the pacing of Super Shotgun blasts are design to make you feel like a force of nature wading through hell. I keep going back to it, and am always amazed at how well it holds up. If you haven't played it, try it if only for the historical element. It doesn't need Brutal Doom, it doesn't need a mod. It just needs a shotgun, a chip-tune version of Metallica, and some demons to frag.

It's a fantastic update to Enemy Unknown, making the whole cycle of watching your trained soldiers miss point-blank headshots and flounder about in fear worth it. One of the best turn based strategy games around, and the sense of urgency from the timers help make new and enjoyable play styles.

The game is an incredibly fresh take on the FPS genre. It plays more like a puzzle game, with each level presenting a unique situation and multiple solutions to progressing. Death is frequent, but the rapid respawn means it doesn't get frustrating.

While the campaign itself is short, about twelve other modes unlock, all allowing for score or challenge based replayability. Rather, the short story feels like a tutorial for the rest of the game.

SUPERHOT manages to always make you feel like the star of a John Woo movie, and the amount of depth hidden in challenges is staggering.

NOTE: I played the game before VR support happened. Since the base price didn't change, I so no reason to complain about VR exclusivity as a free addition to the product. The base experience of SUPERHOT is still stellar enough to recommend.

The worst Arkham game by far. While the platforming and movement aren't too annoying, the combat is god awful. The 3D combat system of the larger Arkham games simply does not scale into 2D. When facing more than four enemies, it quickly becomes difficult to target specific enemies, and becomes even more annoying when enemies must be taken down in specific sequences (such as the knife, armored, or stun baton thugs). The camera does not help, and it becomes difficult to tell who is "first in the queue" in an offscreen fight.
There are better Metroidvania games, and certainly better Batman games. I picked it up for $2.50, and think that was too much.

It's an incredibly atmospheric post apocalyptic shooter. Keep your light charged and your guns loaded. You'll need them.
