I just play it for the bad company 2 portal mode.

Better dead than red. Sony will probably come back one day and try to start something again, and yeah they'll probably won't put any games on PC anymore. But that's a worthy sacrifice.

Fix stunlocking, fix politically correct bullcrap, fix ada's voice (will probably be done by modders with ai voice), and add back some cut content, and this would be a masterpiece to surpass the original.

Better than the remake.

Runs a lot better than the remastered one.

Obviously wouldn't play public multiplayer servers due to lack of anti-cheat, which can result in not just cheaters but actual backdoor trojans. Only outstanding issue I have is the sounds, specifically gun shots and rounds going past you. Other than that even if the devs left this game to rot it's open source so it's not like these things couldn't be fixed by the community with mods and etc.

I look forward to a halo mod or star wars battlefront mod. Feels like squad anyway.

They finally fixed the whole windows live thing. Wish other old games on steam would do the same. However at the time of writing this review it's not possible to mod this build using FOSE since FOSE is not yet updated with this build of the game. Could change in the future though as it changed before with games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

This game is a must have though especially if you play New Vegas and FO4. I would say the story and lore is a lot better in New Vegas but knowing this was the first fallout game on the creation engine is pretty wild to think about. I'm having fun just by playing vanilla and I noticed the game runs a lot smoother on Windows 10 now. I refunded it a few years back because of the Windows Live breaking the game and even when I was able to bypass Windows Live the game ran horribly even with good modern specs.

So if I were you I'd pick this game up on sale, play the story a little, if you get bored play some of the DLCs, if you're still bored just follow a guide on how to downgrade the game to a previous version in order to mod it. I'll just wait for FOSE to update or I'll try looking into A Tale Of Two Wastelands which combines both Vegas and 3 into one game, but these days I can't be bothered trying to install that.

Character design is pretty bland and flat if you catch my drift. Some bugs here and there that are consistent and common. I wouldn't lay down the ten dollars it is to get the battle pass, there's 'woke' undertones and I feel like they're going to sprinkle it all over Masquerade 2. Still gives me Nosgoth vibes though, guess that's why I'm still playing it.
