What can I say? Even if you're not normally into Clickers this one still might get you. It's 1000% legit D&D goodness with some hilarious writing thrown in if you pay attention (you totally don't have to and can just grind but it'll make you laugh in spite of yourself more than once).

Shout out to the Devs on this game as they do a great job of constantly improving and streamlining the game and listening to and taking player feedback into account. Good on them. You can tell this is a game that they also enjoy playing and it shows. They are also very respectful, detailed, and creative with the source material.

REAL TALK: Now if you're wondering if this a "Pay-to-Win" game my honest answer from my personal experience would be "I honestly don't know...?" as I've never spent a penny of money on this and I'm barely scratching the surface at 500+ hours in. Its not an unfair grind and this is bolstered by the fact that it's a Clicker meaning its grinding 24/7 even when you're not actively playing it (and prepare to NOT play it more than you do but that's on purpose).

I have a family member that got a TON of Steam Gift cards for Xmas last year. For fun they wanted to see if a "AAA" $60 investment into the game would give you a distinct advantage over someone like me already a few hundred hours into it.

From the outset the answer would be "No". It simply unlocked a few newer characters that you can eventually unlock yourself (most through the MULTIPLE events they have monthly) and some gear for them but there's still more layers and detail to the rest of the game that it doesn't instantly become a landslide and you "click-to-win" right from the jump.

This is all my subjective rambling but in conclusion this is a Clicker game that I like in spite of being indifferent (at best) to most other Clickers. I really do enjoy it and I recommend it. Don't let the videos sway you, they don't do it justice. Just install and try it out. If you're into D&D and/or other traditional forms of RPG's and character building then try it out as well.

Also quick shout out to the characters. Some of them are really cool and unique and its fun to put your team and rotations together and mix and match. Very endearing characters if you get into it.

PROS
- Great(ess?) IP
- Solid (for what it is) and hilarious writing with some goofy modern references and twists you might not expect
- Interesting and Endearing Party members and NPC's
- Lots of quests, campaigns, and events to keep you steady grinding that Gold fam
- Genuine RPG addicting leveling and teambuilding
- Competent and attentive Devs that take pride in the game and listen to the community as they themselves are part of the community and enjoy the game as much as we do and it shows.

CONS
- Cmon, its a Clicker so by default its grindy [SPOILERS]
- If it catches you prepare for this seemingly random game to eventually end up in your top played games and you having to explain your obsession to confused and patronizing family, friends, and co-workers
- To follow up on the previous point prepare to one day look up and realize you're playing this instead of that new $60 "AAA" game you just bought (60% of the time, that happens every time).

What could possibly go wrong? 10/10 for future wrongness.

This is an indispensible App that I highly recommend to anyone with a controller and that wants to sit back from a TV and use the controller.

2 hours already feels like a lifetime

Look, I'm not out to flay this. I loved the last one and I still really like this one and am amped to put in some serious time with it. That being said here are my complaints only 2 hours in :

1. AI (especially Squad AI) is rage induing. Why do my teamates run through fire or in front of a wall or hill exposed to enemy shots instead of behind it especially when they started behind the wall?

2. Cover vehicles now explode in 1/2 of a turn instead of a full turn? On top of that it's sometimes difficult to even see that the vehicle itself is on fire. This leads to not even getting a chance to move even if you do notice the car is on fire at all to begin with.

3. The performance is terrible. I maxed out the last one with a GTX 750 Ti. XCOM 2 drops frames on my newer 4 GB GTX 970 with a 6 core CPU @ 3.5 which is well above the Recommended specs. AA 2x and no V-Sync with low shadows and still frame dips? Huh?

These two things alone have made me restart the second mission about 4 times.

I'll be back with a more in-depth review/ramblings once I put more time into the game (and I most certainly plan to) but sitting here now so far color me underwhelmed. In spite of this I still would say its a Buy because these things will get fixed either officially or via Mods and I'm biased because I LOVED the last one so dang much and this still has that same feel.

Y U DISAPOINT?!

Not only did it run like relative crap at crap settings and doesn't allow you to turn off Motion Blur (which I hate) it also BROKE my Nvivdia Experience Software suite, which is how I capture and record videos.

I tried to get a refund on Steam to show Rocksteady/WB "WTF, seriously?!" but becuase I bought it at the same time as 7 other games during the Steam sale I'd have to return ALL 8 games at once. Most of those games I got for super cheap during the sale and to replace them would cost a LOT more.

I could, however, get an individual refund on Batman IF I took it as a Steam Wallet credit. WHATS THE POINT? The game's not getting any cheaper anytime soon and I already own it so, yeah!

"The Man" won today but better believe I'm emailing everyone involved and calling them on some BS.

IM SO DISAPOINT! Honestly what little I played of at crap settings was still awesome so not only "all of this" but I'm missing out on a great game (for now HOPEFULLY GET YOU ISH TOGETHER! MAYBE PUT MORE THAN 12 PEOPLE ON IT, HMMMMMMM?!)

Much props to the creators of this movie. I was entertained from start to finish and as a child of the 80's I'd just like to say "Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done!"

I wish I was good at this game cause its really good but im terrible at it. I might go check it out on YouTube and watch some people that know what theyre doing go at it.

This game is the bees knees. Best $5 you'll ever spend on a game. Plug in a controller and prepare for corpal tunnel.
