Dying Light
Rarest Achievement Showcase
Review Showcase
I personally love this game.
Dying light 1 is really incomparable because the games are so vastly different in mechanics and gameplay overall, so I don't want to compare it too much even though it is the sequel. (Beware SPOILERS ahead)

The Story
I personally really love the story in this game, the idea of being introduced to good ol' Spike reminiscing Kyle Crane for a split second, to Aiden's motive of progressing the map, the reasons for his choices and what he's dealt with.
I enjoy the subtle details in dialogue between characters when you make decisions between factions, and just how relatable the factions which you may side with are: peacekeepers; survivors.
I know most people talk down on the story but now bringing in DL1, I prefer DL2's story

Gameplay and Mechanics
From parkour to the combat system, DL2 is a complete overhaul from DL1. There is so much more variety, options for combinations of skills and moves - i mean, in what other game can you swing in from a grappling hook, wall-run into forward roll and dropkick a dude off a building and then paraglide away? It's fantastic.
The lack of guns fits well with the overall theme and anyway, there's still bows and crossbows.
Now I'll try not ruin too much but the mechanics, movements, methods of traversal in this game are 9/10.

Other aspects
In terms of running the game, its pretty high demand, and if you're looking to run ray-tracing with highest settings, be prepared to sacrifice money on a 30-series and a decent CPU. I personally run a 3060 laptop edition and some more intensely lit areas like safe zones drop me down to 15-20 FPS - though my CPU is a bottleneck there.
Don't be disappointed though, the game still looks beautiful without ray-tracing. (just don't look directly into the sun - you WILL go blind)
