Dave the Diver is a delight! I enjoy the balance between the rogue-like exploration of the ocean and the restaurant sim, both are well done and they do a good job of how they space introducing new aspects of the game. The story is very charming and the humor was right up my alley.

Pacing of levels didn’t always feel great, there were times when I felt it took me way longer to reach a certain goal than it should have. Part of this was definitely from the lose everything when you die aspect. This isn’t a problem per se, but far too many times I would be on my way back to the surface and I’d be chased by multiple sharks/ attacking fish to the point where I couldn’t escape and I would lose so many resources. I assume this was just bad luck/ RNG, but it sucks that there was no reliable way to deal with being overwhelmed. It definitely got frustrating to lose out on so many runs with a full/ near full backpack.

The fun way outweighs the frustration though ! If the game looks at all interesting, give it a go, I don’t think you’ll regret it.

I'd really like to recommend the game. The controls are simple and work well, the art is lovely, but there's just too many bugs. There's no music, like several others have mentioned. I got used to it and the silence was somewhat relaxing, but there is supposed to be music. Levels don't flow in a logical way. I finished the intro level, and it looped me back to the beginning of it. I went to the menu, finished the first level, and it took me back to the intro level. Same with the second level. The "bonus" level, I guess you would call it, just takes me back to the main menu. It's rather tedious to have to go through the whole menu between each level and certainly detracts from the relaxing atmosphere the game is trying to put forth. Lastly, the achievements appear to be broken. I completed the intro, first two levels, and bonus level so far, and nothing has unlocked.

This game absolutely has potential. To sit for an hour or so and just fly around collecting feathers and appreciating the landscapes sounds like a wonderful time. But the above just brings the experience down enough to just take me out of it. Hopefully they can resolve the bugs/ issues noted here and in other reviews, and then I would absolutely recommend the game.

I like this car a lot. It looks awesome and the orange color scheme lets you make the Batman Beyond batmobile. The car is fast and back heavy so it's the best of both worlds for the way I like to play. I can get to the ball pretty quickly and hit it like I'm using the Ripper or Octane for a strong, straight hit. My only complaint is that the car sits extremely low on the ground, so I'm currently misjudging a lot of shots. I figure that's just a matter of getting used to the cars dimensions.

Like the BTTF car, you cannot customize the car beyond the paint job, which I find unfortunate. But hey, the car looks awesome, drives really well and allows for some solid hits and ball control. Worth $2 to me but if it's ever on sale I would certainly suggest it.

This game is impressively terrible. Three buttons: z, b, and d. Arrow keys move. No pause, no menu, no skipping the multiple intro videos. The game comes off as one big joke.

Great troll, 0/10.

EDIT: I've played the game past the first level, and since my prior review addressed that and it seems to only apply to that level, I've deleted it. I still can't recommend this game. It's a bit clunky, it can be really hard, and feels cheap. I wasn't able to pass the second level, as it seems to require an incredible amount of patience. A single enemy can deplete all of your health in an instant, because each one fires 10+ projectiles at once, and if you're not in the right place, chances are it's going to hit you. There was a similar aspect in the first level, with asteroids flying at you and spawning ships, or the giant creature that takes up the majority of the map.

The game just isn't fun. Figuring out what you're supposed to do isn't terribly hard, but the execution is just miserable. The only circumstance I could really recommend the game is getting it for free, for the 20 to 30 cents you can get out of the cards. I just don't get it.

Beyond Gravity is a fun, simple little game. It's an obvious mobile port: it only has one button and the intro video even says "Tap to continue" instead of "click." While it may seem a little rushed or lazy, that doesn't deter from the game.

First, it's cheap. Lists for $2, but whenever it goes on sale it's an easy decision to buy. The point of the game is to jump from planet to planet, collecting as many screws as you can. There are 40 goals/ achievements, all of which can be obtained fairly reasonably.

PROS
+ The game is fun and has a good balance between being simple and challenging.
+ The game is inexpensive.
+ It is really easy to get 100% of the achievements in a short amount of time.

CONS
- The game is short. I got everything in just over three hours, you could do it in less.
- Limited replayablity. Once you've gotten all the tasks/ achievements, there's not a ton of incentive to play more. There are skins and additional skills, but you can do everything without them, leaving little incentive to push to collect them.
- Some of the tasks are more of a grind than anything else. They don't involve any skill per se, just jumping or dying over and over until you hit the number.

All in all, I would most certainly recommend the game. It's simple, it's fun, it's something those of you with small children can play with your kids. I would suggest you get it on sale, although $2 is far from unreasonable. I would give it a 7/10.

I've looked through the positive reviews and a lot of them seem to be jokes, so I figured I would finally try my hand at a real one.

This game is incredibly fun. I picked it up pretty early on, when you had to buy a key from the dev. It's silly as hell, and that's the main part of it. You're a goat. You destroy things. There are glitches which are mostly humorous. The game is completely absurd and doesn't try to be anything else.

The game will give you various tasks to do such as getting a certain combo, getting hit by a car, earning X number of points, etc. Therein lies the "plot" so to speak. As of now there are two maps, but there are "exits" to go from one map to the next which, given the current environment, suggests there will be a third map at some point. Both maps are fairly large. There is plenty to find/ explore on each map, which should keep you busy for a while.

There are a few drawbacks to the game, however. Occasionally the glitches can be bad enough to ruin the session. Entirely possible it's my set up, but worth mentioning all the same. The other drawback is that replay value is somewhat limited. If you spend a good two hours or so with a map, chances are you'll have seen/ completed most of what it has to offer. This was something that initially diminished my interest when I first bought the game, but that interest was completely renewed with the update that brought the second map. It's very much one of those games that you can get really into for short periods of time every now and again.

Overall, the game is absolutely worth your time, even at full price. If you enjoy silly humor, destroying things, and the like, you will love this game. Despite the arguably limited replay value, it is a ton of fun. Each map has its own set of tasks (the list is identical between the two, I believe) and there are lots of secrets to find. The achievements add another level of fun as well, as some of them are fairly specific tasks. The only way you would not enjoy this game is if you have no sense of humor. You won't necessarily get hours and hours of fun/ playtime, but you'll get your money's worth ten times over.

This is one of the most counter intuitive and broken games I have ever played. The tutorial is absolutely awful. It's basically an auto-death on the third instruction that completely locks the game out until you use the task manager.

The levels are pretty much just as bad. The gun shoots about two ticks to the left of where you aim. So if I'm directing the right stick right (3 o clock), it's shooting at between 1 and 2. After about 15 seconds, the ship turns into a ball of light and you cannot see what you are doing at all.

Don't waste your money. If you want a dual stick asteriod like shooter, get Beat Hazard.

This game is a lot of fun! It's simple to learn but difficult to master. It has a huge variety of powerups, so every attempt ends up being fairly different, which helps to keep it interesting.
